Well, no, she was an ancient Briton, but the only remaining racial groups descended (culturally, at least) from the ancient Britons are the Welsh and Cornish. England itself is Saxon, in terms of culture and language at least (the nature of the people is less clear, especially if you live near to the Welsh border (my surname, for instance, is of Welsh origin, even though I myself am English), and genetic surveys have shown that the majority of the British people are largely descended from the ancient Britons).

Yes but it is a clan name and therefore has no feminine form, you would have to use the 4 alternate postulations of what a feminine form would look like Artoria does not seem to be acceptable. ( I mean I guess you could call her that but...)

Incidentally, Arturia is derived from Arturius (which seems to be a Vulgar Latin spelling of Artorius, so take that as you will.) Apparently the fandom here at BL was pretty evenly split between Artoria and Arturia before mirror moon came along and chose the more easily recognizable one.

Nah, it's not. Though I don't really mind it so much, as Artoria/Arturia/Altria is basically equivalent to Saber/Sabre/Saver in etymology and all that.
