Iirc, both of em described as having different capability then the normal servant vessel so i was wondering if they have a connection

Most likely a typo. Unless Nasu changed his mind. Bamboo diary announced 藤丸立香 as a name usable for both male/female MC.

The thing is, Shirou and Kirei are actually pretty similar, and that's why they get on so well. Gil and Shirou are nothing like each other. Also FAKERRRRRR. Also Gil isn't big on the whole friends thing. Also he's sort of crazy by that point.
