Whats even your point with the library example
I never understand some people's obsession with alignments because in every single context whatsoever i've never seen the point of such thing. People are gonna perceive characters differently anyway, there's not a need to fit them into an arbitrary alignment system.
Nasu initially probably think it'd be cool to follow DnD then half-way through he realized it's kind of whatever so that's why he has been neglecting it for so long
If you want a library analogy
You want a shelf to be categorized as science fiction.
Nasu just categorize the shelf as fiction.
Its looser but it doesnt make it less a system.

That doesnt have anything to do with library, if you just want to go snark then by all means, turn off your pc or phone and go to sleep.

It's useful in roleplaying because not all my players care enough to create complex characters and personalities and the general guidelines of an Alignment system can help them in roleplaying situations while we play.
It's entertaining to try to apply that same system to existing characters because it brings about discussion.
It's dumb in Fate because it's system is not explained well, lacks clear examples to serve as guidelines, and isn't needed at all.
I guess i just never care enough about role play and fanfic to consider it useful
Can't sleep.
It's useless for writing a fanfic, because when you're writing a fanfic you're actually filling in those little details that alignment is supposed to broad-stroke over. And it's essentially just shorthand in roleplaying; instead of "he's cruel, egoistic, vicious and competely unconcerned with morals" you just say "Chaotic Evil" and you're done.
whats my alignment
He never sleeps. He never dies.
Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
We need a new bl alignment meme

I don't know if I should be concerned about the fact that I recognise some of those avatars or not.
EDIT: I mean, I've been around legends, paragons of their kind, and I didn't even know. Imagine that.

Don't tell me you recognize Mike's. He's still out there, somewhere...

Does kicking a dog mean you're evil?
What if that dog is Primate Murder?
