That's stretching it quite a bit, I can maybe see the connection between Medea and Semi, but Amakusa is completely different from Kuzuki and the reason Semiramis falls in love with him is completely different as well.
If you're going to trivalize things to that extent, why even bother reading anything really
Their not the same character. For one thing Medea's portrayal as a witch is just a facade, something that she forces herself to do. Semi on the other hand is a legitimate evil empress, she is the queen and she has final say, anyone who disagrees gets to killed. Semi is arrogant, prideful, sadistic and she means it, while what Medea does is just a bluff no not a bluff, a job she is in. Her role, not her personality. That to me is a difference, Medea is more fragile and tragic. And while Semi has a similar tragic backstory also she overcame that and became something far more. As you said opinions. But this would be my opinion on the matter.
"Only in my company, will you not be a monster"
anywhere than here
that reminds me i was reading the apo anime interview with higashide in TM ACE 12. Nothing new on anything, but higashide likened Amakusa and Semi's relationship to that of a cat and the cat's owner.
Which left a deep impression on me.

Machines do not lose their worth when a newer model appears.
Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.
the cat is the person who kills a mouse and then shows the dead mouse to the master but then immediately goes hmmph and walks away as if it wasn't a big deal

Yeah, that's not Medea and Kuzuki.
Medea is more puppy like.
Localizationing stuff
Fine, a fuckin vampire puppy that sneaks out at night and drains the mana from businessmen to sustain its existence.

Your argument is that Semi and Medea are alike, and they aren't really.
So they're both women who use magic and fall in love with their Master. I guess that makes Tamamo and Anastasia completely identical carbon copies of them, then.

Really, that's like arguing that a gold bar and a bucket of piss are the same thing because they're both yellow.
I want to know how Semiramis survived Mordred's last attack.
