Small Zero question, but how closely does the legend of Diarmuid hew to the real life thing because the anime flashback seems to imply Fionn invited him on that fatal hunt soon after Diarmuid and Grainne finally fought off everyone the former sent after them, but in the legend, they live a few decades as husband and wife and have at least 3 children. Just curious.
Like Arthurian legend, there are multiple variations of the Fenian stories as they spread across the Celtic speaking world.
Presumably the Zero anime was just being lazy when it came to character design and had it take place not long after.

I've heard this too. GO blonde Fionn is younger, Zero Fionn is after his hair turns dark (apparently because of a fairy or something?).
I never heard of his hair turning black though, the story of his encounter with the princess of Faeries always ends with his hair being turned permanently white/gray.
Oh well, this is Fate after all so I won't sweat it too much.

Whether it's white/grey to show that he's past the prime of his life or black to emphasize the contrast with his previous blonde, it all still work rather well symbolically in their own ways.

According to his bind ce Diarmuid did have and raise children with Grainne. So just put it up on the anime on not putting the effort and making people question why he got older all of the sudden.

With any ancient oral tale there's bound to be variations and so there's not really one true answer, like there's even one tale where Fionn is actually a Giant and he ripped off a chunk of Ireland and threw it at another giant only for it to land in the ocean and become the Isle of Man.
"Fionn" means "Fair" (as in light coloured) and so he's had a bunch of light hair colours but more often then not it's always depicted as blonde.

Kiritsugu and Shirou
Uhh kiritsugu's origin was awakened? i thought that the bullets were merely utilizing his origin by scrapping off parts of his essentials into the bullets. or no?
Is there a difference between individuals "awakening" their origin or having it default set as just their thing?
I'm pretty sure Kiritsugu's Origin was never awakened in the KnK sense, but Shirou's likely was, even if there was no specific ritual to awaken it.
