Heaven's Feel manga: Kuzuki squashes a bug without realizing that this bug was Zouken. Medea noticed Kuzuki was being cursed and used Rule Breaker to save him, but he was already dead by that point.
Heaven's Feel movies: Hassan takes Kuzuki as a hostage and demands her to discard Kojirou's Command Spells. After Medea fulfills her part of the deal, Hassan kills Kuzuki and Medea.
im aware of the movies, but considering they changed all the events to begin with, it does seem rather suspect.
another question relating to that is why exactly caster shows up under zouken's control when Sakura had already eaten her right after she had been killed by Arturia. It also has confused me as to why the shadow never appeared in any of the other routes except HF. Because of Zouken again?

The shadow only shows up in HF and not the other routes because Shirou is only trying to get into Sakura’s pants in HF and not the other routes
The Shadow never shows up in other routes because Sakura's will never cracks. If she finds herself being desired and loved, she starts fearing the possibility of losing that and Zouken uses that weakness to get her involved. From that point is all snowball effect.
HF manga probably isn’t the way it happens. The Matous can’t use curses because of their absorption attribute.

A: Actually Sakura would not develop as the "Black Grail" in any other route. However, when she was chosen by Shirou, "the person she does not wish to lose", the negative emotions she kept bottled up all these years came flooding out, which accelerated the growth of "All of the World's Evil – Angra Mainyu".

Also Zouken was kind of going along for the ride too. His reaction when he sees the Shadow for the first time shows he wasn't really expecting such a result.

I thought it was the Lady of the Lake, just like in Le Mort D'Arthur, except of course Merlin was trapped in a tower and not underneath a rock.
If that is the scene where it happens, it makes sense. To anyone's eyes that scene is significant for Sakura, even if Shirou doesnt yet understand the allegory for the highjump scene and why people are attracted to him over that. It seems he gets all the chicks by being the mentally imbalanced individual he is
