Personally the one that gets me is that Dr. Jekyll was inspired by Moriarty to create his distilled-evil juice and was also acquainted to Holmes and Dr. Watson. And then Holmes has the gall to tell people that he might be fictional when there's clearly extrafictional stuff in his backstory. (This is probably where his vaguely-hinted-at culled timeline thing comes in, I guess - they might be fictional in our timeline.)

But yeah, Dantes definitely seems like one of the least fictional fictional characters.

Argh, I keep forgetting his name is written with a "c" in English even though it should be written with a "k"! Screw it, I'm just calling him Eiríkr Bloodaxe from now on. :-P

    Eiríkr blóðøx, surely?

(But yeah, the English habit of putting hard Cs in Norse words is confusing. Who the fuck's "Cnut"?)

anyone who wants to include public domain 19th century fictional characters in their work should be forced to take a questionnaire consisting of the single question "Is your name Alan Moore?" and if they answer in the negative they get thrown out a window

Could be worse, Cnut's royal charters in England during his reign spelled his name as "Chanut."

They should be thrown out a window even if they answer in the positive.
Guy wrote ONE good volume using HIS interpretation of other people's works and suddenly people think he owns those characters? Screw that.

Who thinks he owns those characters lol

Anyway, Volume II was decent. It's really the stuff after that that had the LOXG go downhill, especially the mess that was Century. Haven't read The Tempest yet tho.

What's the difference between the Primeval/Primordial Runes and the other old runes mentioned by Scathach?

From the sounds of it, the Primeval/Primordial Runes were created by Odin himself and the Old Runes by other people afterwards?

But that's just my guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So, been awhile since I read FGO, but could Goetia time travel without the ashes? Not the 4.5B plan, but rather normal time travel? I remember he had independent manifestation right?

I don't think it is actual time travel, I think it's more that they already exist in throught time

I'm not sure? The demons took the slow route to all the Singularities, Babylonia was explicitly him sending the Grail back in time (and didn't even have a Demon Pillar), and the Time Temple is in [CURRENT DAY].

They've got an atemporal mindset, but I don't know that they can actually time travel without the 4.5B plan.

I'm not sure that Independent Manifestation lets you time travel?

The Time Temple is outside the time axis and doesn't exist in any history.

If the Time Temple is a physical place you can go, does that mean the Throne of Heroes, which also exists outside of time, is also a physical place you could theoretically go?
