No? He doesn't even have a mental distortion, what is distorted is how he lives his life as per Rin's words, not some omniscient narrator. He just probably has an extreme case of survivor's guilt going by Nameless in Extra.

And yes 20 years is short if you have a leg up like Shirou, but it's not like it comes naturally to him like the Psychics who don't need to take a lot of time to learn how to fully use their powers.

I probably used the wrong term there. Still, the only reason Shirou/Archer ever went that far is because of his distorted way of living/survivors guilt.

Shirou's mindset isn't really in the discussion when talking about how long it takes him to develop UBW without Archer's help. He could be perfectly fine and still take 20 years to fully learn how to use UBW.

Thinking about it better, we do have Romani and Hakuno as clear examples of character who only exist(ed) in their own stories. Mash outside of FGO should exist, but not be a designer baby.

I guess it depends on if Mash's conception itself was part of Chaldea's experiments or if they just found a pregnant woman and asked to experiment on her unborn kid. If the former I doubt she'd be in any other worldline.

I always thought her conception was part of the experiment, what with the whole focus on compatibility with Heroic Spirits and whatnot. If I were them, I'd control the conception if possible as much as possible.

He's kinda-sorta in a FS/N Gilgamesh or Amakusa situation, yeah. If he doesn't get summoned in a timeline then he doesn't really "exist".

Of course, Fate/Extra characters also get away with this by taking place in 2030 and thus a lot of the characters just plain haven't been born yet in the other stories. Except Kiara, I guess.

Well, assuming that she's the normal age of TM MC's, 18, She would need to be born in 2010's so Tokiyomi would need to survive the 4th for her to exist. It all comes down to if Normal Rin exists in Extra, if she does then Extra!Rin is a one time thing, if not, she's just an alternate Rin with a dye job, like Sion vs FGO Sion.

Quick question, but does Kirschtaria exist in non-FGO timelines? I mean, no matter what, Marisbury neglected Olgamarie, but does that also mean Kirschtaria as the superior heir existed no matter what, even in timelines where Marisbury gave up on his dream of Chaldea?

Kirschtaria's Clocktower altering talent can be easily ignored by writers by having him die during his character formatting backstory.

Who knows. Until something new that's not FGO in the proper normal state of fate/nasu is made we won't have any chance at knowing.

Dust of Osiris getting namedropped in CCC more or less implied Sion did exist there. That said I also think Sion and Sialim were twins, like I don't even know how could Dust exist in Extra.
