Regarding Semiramis Hanging Garden of Babylon, what is hers and what is actually Nebuchadnezzar II? Example, from what I read, is that the 3 day requirement is due to it not being her true NP, therefore the falshood must take time to nail it into reality, becoming truth. As such, her version is called Aerial Garden of Vanity, Vanity showing its fake. However, what else is specific for Semiramis or Nebuchadnezzar? I would assume Nebuchadnezzar would not need the 3 day rules but aside from that I am curious about the differences. Is Semiramis high magic inside it related to her or the whole Hanging Gardens? Its these kind of things im curious. I would like to know what factors displayed by Semiramis are part of her legend and what is part of the Hanging Gardens legend.

How are Tamamo and Amaterasu connected in myth? Or did they just randomly connect them here?

    iirc it went like this:
Amaterasu = Vairocana = Dakini in Shingon Buddhism
    Dakini = nine tailed fox
Then Nasu went and made nine tailed fox = Tamamo based in a rather flimsy interpretation of some legend.
    Thus
Amaterasu = Vairocana = Dakini = nine tailed fox = Tamamo

Fairly certain that Daji/Tamamo-no-Mae was always a kyubi no kitsune, or at least a kitsune/fox demon. Nasu just connected her to Amaterasu.

Also, question, but when did TM Ashwattāma even die? Krishna's curse was supposed to have doomed him to wander the Earth for 3,000 years in source material, but he's summonable as a Servant from PHH. Does that mean the Mahābhārata occured >3000 years ago?

There was that one "timeline" in a TM Ace that I don't have on me at the moment, but it put the Mahabharata pre-Gilgamesh, so yes.

Yesh, and now they're starting to add in more on Shugendo and tengu. Is there a translation of Chaldea Ace volume 2 or at least the part where this is bought up? I might as well jump in the deep end at this point.

Also, if Tamamo is connected to Buddhism, then is there a connection for Shuten/Ibuki as well?

3200BC. Ash was dead before Anno Domini was even a thing.

Holmes in his trial quest said that arjuna and karma were from 5000 BC though.

What does reaching "Childhood's End" mean exactly in Fate works? I presume it has to do with Tiamat. Does it just mean we've defeated her?

  12. #150492
It is a reference to a book

  13. #150493
Your childhood ends when you stop relying on your guardian(s).
In Fate context it meant cutting away Tiamat, the mother of all.
I suspect a similar narrative would be told about finally leaving Earth behind.

In Arthur C. Clarke's context it means humanity entering the next step of evolution, a hivemind.

Is Super Orion's Blessing of the Sea God effect something specific from his myth or just some stock ability they use just because he is related to Poseido, therefore should have power over water?

Orion's myth has many more variations than normal for other heroes, and yes in some of them he was able to walk on water but that ability is some sort of stock skill several greek heroes that were sons of Poseidon had in their myths.
For example, in Atlantis, Orion's skill and relationship with Triton (Captain) worked as imply references to Euphemus, an argonaut that was the son of Poseidon, could walk on water (or run so fast it looked like he was walking on water) and received a clod of earth from Triton, when he helped the argonauts, that later become an island destined to be colonized by Euphemus' descendants
Regarding the part of the skill description that says he can make rain, can't remember really an episode about it on the myths, bit its treat as a joke so is probably just that, an effect added to tell a joke

    Golden rain, probably.

Vitch calls Sherlock some variation of 'her enemy' in LB5. I was wondering if someone could tell me exactly what was said and if she's meaning just someone she hates or someone she knows specifically.

Does anyone know where Arthur supposedly says Ayaka looks like the Lady of the Lake?

And then, Saber walked into the Garden’s interior. He wasn’t clearly aware of it, but he had probably proceeded through the hallway, to reach here and then personally opened the glass door.
    He had naturally walked there.
Although it’s wasn’t like he didn’t have any memories of it, he was certain that he had still come here clearly unaware. As he was thinking about his past, right, he had a feeling that he had heard someone’s voice.
    The family head’s voice?
    No.
    A young child’s voice?
    No.
Kind and gentle, it was, the whispers of the lady of the lake that he had listened to one day.
    Saber: “Vivian?”
He muttered her name unconsciously. Immediately, a rustling sound, was made from the greenery nearby. It was a young child. She was the Sajyou family head’s daughter, and Manaka’s little sister. He instantly knew it was her even without deliberately searching for her presence. Her face was frequently popping out from the shade of the tree, as if she was examining his state.
Only arguable mention I can remember, Ayaka's presence reminding him of Vivian.

Oh so it was their personality or like, atmosphere, that he made the comparison, not their appearances. For as long as I can remember I've seen people claim Arthur basically said Vivian was an Ayakaface. Thanks.
