More like he's comparing Ea to the most powerful holy sword, and the numbers mean nothing. Absolutely nothing.

The most powerful holy sword has a rank of A++, not A+++. The damage outputs don't match.
This is probably a really silly question to ask but I figured that if we could get anything out of CP it would be this.
I was wondering if Caster could create those charms like she did in CP and use them for pretty much anything she wanted.
Why is Gilgamesh's Ea so much better than Saber's Invisible Ea? I thought invisibility was supposed to be a pretty nice enchantment.
I'm too tired to be witty funny and you're the one that had me digging through status screens. Take responsibility!
To be fair, the accurate romanization would be something more like 'inbijiburu ea'.
They are similar in nature, as in both of them are not physical weapons, but techniques.
Piercing Death Thorn is a technique of using the physical spear called Gae Bolg. Nine Lives is a technique that can be used with any weapon.
Originally Nine Lives is a bow, but then Hercules transferred the way he used the bow onto other weapons.
If Shirou projects Gae Bolg and reads the technique "Piercing Death Thorn", then there's no reason he could not use it like how he used Nine Lives.
Someday Nasu will tell us that Ea is really called "Air" and we will lose our shit.

Why would we lose our shit? It's really just a name.
In fact, if Gilgamesh called it "Lord Dildo 2000", it would be "Lord Dildo 2000". It is just another one of Gilgamesh's nameless blades.
But the axe-sword is just a random chunk of temple rock which Heracles never conferred NL upon! Unless you mean to say that touching it immediately makes the object record a person's entire life and deeds- in which case Shirou need only analyze Ilya's rear and he'd be able to perform Nine Lives Blade Works.
It somehow wound up in the Axe Sword, that's for sure. How though, it was never explained.
It may be that, since the Axe Sword is a potential weapon through which Hercules could execute Nine Lives (though unable to due to madness), it become "linked" with the Noble Phantasm for this version of Hercules.
Good enough for me!

Shirou Traces a toothpick Herc used. Shirou can now use Nine Lives with a toothpick.
Explanation:
Zerker used it to kill some dogs.
He can't. The entry said he can't use it while in Berserker class period.
