So if the Thompson Contender itself is the Mystic Code, rather than the bullets, then that means no one but Kerry should be able to fire it? Or rather, fire it and make his bullets activate the Severing/Binding effect? Or is it just so simply made that anyone could use the gun, as opposed to the specialized custom Codes we see people like Rin and Kayneth have with their jewels and T-1000 mercury blob?

Again, akiha's origami wasn't working at full power because she couldn't quite see him, and she was going easy on him. See, interesting note a lot of people miss, when akiha was draining shiki as he killed her, she wasn't draining his arm and leg. He had an arm and leg go limp because they got more of it, but she was actually draining his arms and legs PLURAL. As in, she was avoiding a kill shot on his chest and trying to incapacitate him. In other words: The moment Akiha laid eyes on him, he would be dead, because of the speed of light. However, he crosses an entire hallway with only his leg being able to enter her vision.

That's fucking fast. Considering the whole hallway is entering her eyesight. Slipping into one blind spot with only a lost leg, and cutting before he can be seen.

That's still arguing he somehow went faster then the speed of light, technically I think it might even require him to go so fast he goes backwards in time since she laid eyes on him and he didn't instantly die in the exact nanosecond she saw him.
It works on visual processing like Fujino's Distortion. It's basically "the hand moves faster then the eye" but extended to his entire body and he broke her line of sight. Ryougi Shiki did the exact same thing to Fujino accept she didn't go quite fast enough.

To be fair to Saber, when Lancer was charging it he was like on the opposite side of the garden. If Shirou was charging it against Shiki we don't know what kind of distance would be involved. When the lance is already thrust, its sort of too late to protect against it(unless you're Saber of course), so thats out.

Probably. The gun itself isn't mentioned to be magical in any way, it's just a sort of antique he fires magical bullets out of. Whether he needs to infuse his bullets with his mana or something at the point of firing is another matter, but I don't think so.
