Hmm, how would any servant other than Gilgamesh even stop Saber if she had Avalon anyway? She's not even really limited by mana supply either.
The A+ is his status with Kotomine after being doused in grail mud. It's the stats we're given in FSN, not Zero.

I am pretty sure the F/Z stats are from when Gil was under Tokiomi. Presumably switching Masters would affect them somehow, but we never saw what his stats were under young Kirei pre-mud, I think.

Considering all the shit Archer could do with Independent Action B (projecting Rho Aias, Swordspamming Angra Mainyu blob, fighting against Shirou, projecting tons of swords in the process) I don't think it's too much of a hamper for Gil, especially since he can just finish the war in a single day if he wants to anyways.
Nope, he just lasts the whole war, no time limit given. And Gate of Babylon takes no energy once it's opened. This is of course assuming he doesn't just eat children again.

I know E- is "30 turns" and B-ranked is "2 days" but I couldn't find where the limit for A-ranked is. Simply "can take action without Master" doesn't necessarily mean "unlimited duration" and it's strange that A+ would specifically mention unlimited duration if A already had it.
In any case, if the scenario is "realistic" in that Kiritsugu would never talk and cooperate with Saber then the "realistic" scenario is that if Gilgamesh had to consume women and children, there would be cooperation to destroy Gilgamesh first like with Caster.

A+ allows for him staying around after the war without the Holy Grail backing him up. Oh he can also use "large amounts of magic energy" with no trouble.

Although I wonder if his IA is A because he was under Tokiomi? In other words, couldn't his IA drop to B or something once he contracts with Kirei. It's A+ in FSN but is that because it's Kirei (which is weird since being his Servant means you drop in stats usually) or because he got incarnated.

I assume since it's for when you aren't hooked up to a Master that by it's very definition it won't drop by getting less Master support.

I'm pretty sure it's A+ because he got grail-mudded.
Furthermore, no matter how interested in Kirei he was, he wouldn't have suffered to be contracted to Kirei after offing Tokiomi if losing his master doesn't inconvenience him in a significant way. He could watch Kirei without needing him as a master.

IIRC it's sort of implied somewhere that Gilgamesh didn't actually need to drain those orphans.
Worth noting that Gil does need a master, though I am still a little unsure of the reason.
Gil ko needs a Master. Maybe Gil ko loses his naturally high Independent Action. How does needing Caren as his Master even work when they're in an imaginary time loop world with no actual Grail War going on anyway?
