actually im pretty sure it's the other way around
demons and elementals have 'reality marbles', humans are the one's that worked towards having something similar
the term was used to describe the demon's alien common sense or w/e but it changed to encompass the human version of a reality marble as well
Yeah the official timeline puts it in the 60's. Also note that Grail War dates aren't exactly a set number of years apart, like 3rd War happened on the eve of WW2 which was said to be about 1938, but that's not exactly 60 years until 1995 where Zero is.

Isn't it just the two types? Demons and True Demons?
Primordial Demons, True Demons, Incarnated Demons + those demons that possess you, the element Demon, and Majinka-ing and becoming a demon. Oh and fake demons like Avenger.

A reality marble is a bounded field where the user paints the inside of it because world egg.
A Demon can do the world painting outside of it not even bothering with a Bounded Field.
Reality Marbles were made in trying to imitate that.

It is an anti-sorcery Noble Phantasm, that returns any objects strengthened with magical energy, connections bound by contracts, or life forms created out of magical energy, to a state prior to their "creation".
Of course, there are limits. No matter how low the rank, it is impossible for Rule Breaker to affect a Noble Phantasm.

I mean, I suppose if you smashed Rule Breaker against another sword hard enough, it might have the effect of breaking said sword if that sword is just as awkwardly shaped. Maybe. Probably not on Caster's STR tho.

I assume that's the case, since human Reality Marbles are 'anomalies' that Gaia tries to crush, but imaginary demons are a part of nature so what they're doing is technically 'natural'.
EMIYA's reality marble can be used without penalty as well.
A Reality Marble involves replacing part of the World Egg with your own. Gaia doesn't start to crush it until the caster can no longer keep it up because that's when the Marble's structure is compromised.

The RM makes X = 2. Prana gets poured into continually making X = 2. When there is no more prana, the world notices that X isn't 1 and turns it back into X = 1.
