Gaia's CF is only meant to react to threats from nature and alien threats. It's not that they are bad at their job, they simply aren't getting any because there is no threat of that nature as of late, compared to that, human threats are common.

The priest was waiting for the arrival of the princess, who was only an enemy of all of them.
For the priest, the golden princess was the one and only main heroine.
Everyone else was unworthy of his respect, no matter how strong they were.
Tsukihime 2 Prelude III
ok, but you need humanity to put new people on the throne, since humans need to worship them as heroes, right? so at the very least, doesn't the end of alaya mean the end of new entrants? not sure if CGs can bypass that though since i thought they contracted with Alaya, but you said Alaya is Gaia and the distinction comes from translation
The Throne is outside time and space. "New people" on the throne don't exist, they've always been there.

Machines do not lose their worth when a newer model appears.
Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.
You get dropped into fate/stay night just after the archer vs saber fight, how do you steer towards a happy ending for everyone? like how do you convince saber to let go?
With the way the keep adding shit to gils vault, soon he will have the root in it.
Life is short, we don't need to shitpost at eachother about nasu.

Pretty sure this thread isn't for those kind of questions but I wouldn't even bother trying. There's always someone in Fate that doesn't get "saved" in the end.
Spoiler:
odd instead...

Tophats how did you come to the opposite conclusion of what I spent multiple paragraphs explaining in detail?
Kirei is a peacemaker
Nobody is fighting when he's done
i change the terms and instead get summoned weeks before the war. i summon assassin and help rin/shirou on the night berserker nearly kills shirou/saber. then i join them and work with them until i betray them because fuck them and eventually win the war with my assassin. the world gets destroyed by AM because fuck you world
then i leave japan before counter guardians or whatever comes down to stop what's happening, find a cute magus to marry, and marry her and the end.
I see, I see. Thanks, everyone!Lots of clarification regarding the differences between Alaya and the Counter Force
I have a few questions and thought you guys would be the best informed to answer them.
1. Is No Name Archer from Fate/EXTRA the same spirit as CG EMIYA from Fate/Stay Night?
2. Related to the above. Is it possible for multiple variations of the same Heroic Spirit to sit on the Throne of Heroes, as in they come from different realities and count as discrete Heroes?
3a. Is Saber Lily just a younger version of Fate/Stay Night Saber? Or a young Arturia from a different reality?
3b. If the answer to the above is that Saber Lily is a young Stay Night Saber, how did she end up concealing the fact she was female if she had spread tales of herself as a beautiful feminine Knight-Princess?
1. No.
2. Yes. Fate/Hollow Ataraxia even points out that there were two Sabers summoned in the third Holy Grail War that were different aspects of the same spirit.
3. She's post-drawing Caliburn, pre-founding Camelot. And Merlin both made her a pseudo-man as king, and also, they didn't actually care a ton about her actual gender.

A heroic spirit is just a tradition. Different aspects of that tradition are summoned.
That's why Lancer Cu and Caster Cu are different. You're summoning different aspects of him.
