You could ask that for most of the Greek heroes and gods in GO, and I still think it's an unnecessary question, because people believed in their stories enough for them to be real
If you're asking what happens if you take a time machine back to find these people, then GO should answer that pretty soon

the whole point of that is saying that AOG is mysterious full of mystery and you can't check therefore any theory is equally "correct" but at the end of the day they are only speculation.

1. Artemis is definitely real enough to be able to interfere with your summoning of a mythological Greek hero
2. Artemis knew Atalanta
3. Atalanta knew the other Argonauts (Herc, Jason, Medea, etc.)
4. Nasu said that Medusa would recognize Herc on sight

Archer in Fate/stay night is a fictional Heroic Spirit from a world where Shirou doesn't exist but the visual novel Fate/stay night does, summoned into a world where Shirou exists but the visual novel Fate/stay night doesn't.
Fanon trying to explain the definition, but compelling, since otherwise you get into an awkward snowball effect where the country of Greece was a fictional construct except for like 3 people. It's vaguely rooted in stuff Garden of Avalon said about how the AoG-AoM transition happened and dragon remains becoming oil after the ruleset changed., and guessing maybe that's what happened to The AoG people you can't divorce from their mythological backstory.
But still fanon. At least that's my understanding?

During the Camelot Singularity when the party was exploring the Atlas Institute, Holmes mentioned that Atlas had made a total of 7 weapons of mass destruction or the 7 Taboos.
Are these the items he may have been refering to?
- Black Barrel
- Etherlite
- Barrel Replica
Which I do find curious, since the Black Barrel is strictly an anti-unit weapon and only as effective as a normal gun on anything without tremendous storage/make-up of magical energy/ether. How could Atlas really called something like that a weapon of mass destruction?
No one has ever actually used the Black Barrel the way it's supposed to be used. It's one of the seven great mysteries of the Nasuverse.
