^^^ what cruor said.the game specifically spells out if gil hadnt been so reliant on his phantasms and actually knew how to fight, gil would have kicked his ass.
Its more like machinegun fire from 16 barrels, I presume. Its just that Lancelot is fast enough to grab a weapon and deflect incoming weapons even when Gil is on "continuous fire" mode.A thunderous roar shook the night air, a flash of light exploding through the sky.Who would believe that such destruction could be done by throwing swords and other similar weapons? A countless number of Noble Phantasms rained down on the road of the warehouse town, which already looked like it had received carpet bombing.
And still, Archer's fierce attack didn't stop. The Noble Phantasms fell like thunderbolts, shot at Berserker's standing place with enough force to scatter anything away, and kept striking and striking and striking again. The attack was continuous, even increasing in violence. —Because the target, Berserker, just wouldn't fall down.
Everyone was shocked. Even in a critical situation with a great number of enemies around, everyone shared the same thoughts.
This was a replay of the miracle of the first attack. Berserker just took the first halberd that came at him with his left hand, then swung left and right the sword in his right hand, repelling every single one of the following Noble Phantasms away.
Such a technique was subtle and flawless. There was grandeur in it. Even with a Noble Phantasm snatched from Archer, the handling wasn't poor by a bit. He was swinging them around freely, like extensions of his arms; it simply looked like a demonstration of his polished skills with the favourite weapons he had specialized in for years.
Both offense and defense followed their course together.
Thinking about it, unlike the three other Servants, the identity of the golden Archer and the dark Berserker is still a mystery. Saber and Lancer shuddered at the threat. If they are to advance through the Holy Grail War, they may get to cross arms with these two. But in front of these beasts who are beyond reason, just how should they get ready to stand up?
"—The golden one seems to be proud of the number of his Noble Phantasms, but the black guy has the worst affinity with him."
Dartz, are you actively trying to force Arc in every debate? I always thought you just showed up when she was mentioned.
EAM lets him retain his skill, not his sanity.
>To a rank boost to all is worthless argument
see Saber!Shirou & Saber!Rin
and Rider!Shinji & Rider!Sakura
and said out loud what's their difference and what make the difference
I think it's in reference to the hypothetical Servant that is above all the other Servants in stats in the same way that Gil is above all the other Servants in NPs. Since Gil has the firepower of about 5 Servants, then the hypothetical stat-equivalent Servant would have the stats of about five Servants.
Once again, what, but in a difference sense.
It's literally close to impossible for him to increase his skill with weapons, because of EAM. Even if he had sanity, his skill would not fucking improve, because of EAM. EAM means quite literally, that his skill is at the max at all times, regardless. With skill at the max, the only other thing to do is increase his stats. And with Aldronite out, he doesn't really need KoH, because short of somehow stealing Enuma Elish, he's not going to get his hands on something better than Aldronite.

Would you rather have Ea or Increased combat stats? In a close range fight? Do you like your arm?
I would definitely say "with ME".
I've heard the argument that that would make their base stats far too low for as high-tier Servants as we've seen, but don't forget that Berserker is the weakest container of them all. In stats, most likely Hercules Saber < Hercules Berserker (guaranteed ME) < Hercules Saber w/ME.
Honestly, I consider getting average Saber-class base stats as a Berserker ridiculous enough to suit these two.
@Mellon Hmm.... I see what you're getting at and I kinda acknowledge that you can read it that way but when I look at
So yeah, while Rider speaking two lines during the middle of all this may have disjointed my sense of time in how this all went but the way it's written seems to imply that while it was continuous- he only launched the next two or three after the previous have either hit their mark (Berserker) or after they were launched. But yeah, from how the scene was written may quite possibly be disorienting me.A thunderous roar shook the night air, a flash of light exploding through the sky.Who would believe that such destruction could be done by throwing swords and other similar weapons? The two Servants watched silently on one side, as the other one standing there, Rider, spoke confidently.
"When Blacky takes a weapon, he becomes stronger by just taking it. And Goldy throws them so shamelessly. He's a versatile fellow."
As the King of Conquerors calmly commented, Berserker wasn't taking one step back in front of Archer's fierce attack. On the contrary, when a more powerful Noble Phantasm flew at him, he would abandon his current one to exchange it scrupulously with the new weapon.
The violent roaring sound stopped when the last of the sixteen Noble Phantasms fell down.
The Hall of Selected Cruor Praise
*reads a few times*
you could argue both ways...but the decider for me is how saber and lancer are shocked. I dont think they would be feeling the ice if it were just 2 at a time, I think mellon is right, and it was coming at 16 at a time, and if there happened to be something particularly nice in the batch, lancelot just snatched it up
Depends on stat boost. And whose getting boosted.Would you rather have GoB, or increased stats when your opponent is far away from you?
This goes in both directions
What what? You understood perfectly what I said… he can't get more sane or more skilled, and just one rank up in stat isn't that much useful (at least, it isn't for me).
(perhaps earlier I said he almost lost KoH, an useful ability, thanks to berserker class. I was talking about For Someone Glory sometimes I mess those two)
Since this is a war, where people fight, skill isalmost equal to sanity in a certain way

...but you all realize that he survived that because of his NP, right?
Those aren't your standard concepts or conceptual weapons. Those are legends given shape.
