Interviews and mats like say that “Waga Aru-G” is a terrible match up with Kayneth because Diarmuid is unconditionally loyal instead of caring about the qualities of his master however. Since Kayneth is proud about being amazing he would do better with a servant who would serve him, but also genuinely appreciate and recognize his talents.

also Diarmuid is boring and Sola is a super bitch.

That doesn't really count as a wish. Sure, it's his reason for participating, but I don't know whether he ever actually wanted the Grail. He just wanted to prove himself in the War itself.

And Iskandar isn't that Servant. He'd have even less respect and would not hesitate to belittle the man in public. Honestly, the mindless Berserkers are probably his best bet because Kayneth is really compatible with no Heroic Spirits due to his combination of inferiority complex and arrogance. The WORST would be Gilgamesh. One of them would kill the other.

How does e have an inferiority complex?

He’s stated to be legitimately that good by the narration in multiple works and side materials all the time.

you sound like you’re talking about Waver more.

Yeah, he's good, but he's insecure all the same and cannot stand any challenge to his authority or skill with any calm or maturity. Hell, half of his whole thing is a desperate attempt to impress Sola-Ui and make her love him.

Kayneth was an ass. He was also 100% right and Waver was stupid. His 'thesis' was that noobs are just as good as the old-bloods if they try hard.

Except that Old Bloods have Better and More Circuits because of Selective Breeding, and are in fact naturally better then Normies, because no matter how hard you try, your Circuit count aint gonna magically go up scrub.

What I meant is that with training, it is possible to optimize your circuits, and a first or second gen who does that can beat a lazy 4th or 5th gen or whatever with not-so-great circuits. It doesn't do much, but it's something.

That is also something that irritates me about the Nasuverse. Bloodline does matter, and thus the magocracy's bigotry is justified, and effort matters less.

True, but I personally think older Waver is too hard on himself and blames himself too much for what happened.

what waver learns as El-Melloi II is that no matter how good you are as a 1st gen or 2nd gen the foundation of your work is on the work of these blue blood families.
No matter how hard you work, your work is still beholden to those who came before you, the very people you are disparaging.

And Rin talks about the same theme in the UBW epilogue.

It's the same in science too.

The Grand Order exists in all timelines, even the Tsukihime ones.

Nobody told me this was a thing.
Higashide: If Kayneth were Rider's master it wouldn't have worked out. But there wouldn't be any cheating*. (*as in Sola-Ui with Lancer)
Urobuchi: Not exactly cheating but I think [Rider] would basically go at it as if to fuck both of them.
    Higashide: Oh yeah, he's bisexual.
Haganeya: Bisexuality was relatively normal for people of ancient times.
At least with Isaknder they would both be sexually satisfied.

People who are talented, smart and work hard can do well even without super selective breeding yes.

But if you have better hardware your talents will be able to be actualized better. Nothing says that the old families don’t have talent or hardworking people either.

Noritakas exist. However that doesn’t mean that Kayneths or Lorelei’s don’t have talent, or don’t work hard either.

They thought it was the circuits but it was actually the crest.

Iskandar would be, but would Kayneth and Sola? The latter yes, but the former would probably find the whole process mortifying. And yes, bisexuality as we view it technically did exist, though the ancient Greeks didn't view sexual relations in terms of the genders of the participants but the roles they took.

True, but I still don't like it since I view establishment mages as immature assholes who take this whole "we're not human, and we're above human concerns" line simply to avoid taking responsibility for and acknowledging the consequences of their actions. They're fucking human, but they just won't seem to acknowledge it.
