Common sense and aliens says the solar system, but there's stuff to suggest it's the actual universe.

Probably as far as we can see with our telescopes. Maybe the universe isnt expanding its just trying to run away from us.

Why would it want to avoid us? Aren't we the one loser who still doesn't have a Type? If anything, we should be the easiest bullying target.

Maybe they're like "who are these freaks without a Type?! How are they seeing so far?!"

Also, Gil was intended to be a Type-Earth, right? Or was Enkidu?

Splitting them into two characters was the root of the problem. Yes, sure, their stories didn't match 1 for 1 but when it comes to mythology it is something par the course.

Şiğrekssaga, for example, provides a third version of this narrative, which has Sigurd as a Fafnir-slayer and later a vassal of Burgundian kings.

Really? Interesting, though I personally do like the idea of Fafnir as a concept more than a singular beast.

There's also stuff to suggest that it only encompasses a (presumably our) supercluster and not the entire universe.

'Tell me, where's it live, this gonad of yours?'
    'In my consciousness.'
    'And where is your consciousness?'
'Right here,' I said, tapping myself on the head.
    'And where is your head?'
    'On my shoulders.'
    'And where are your shoulders?'
    'In a room.'
    'And where is the room?'
    'In a building.'
    'And where is the building?'
    'In Russia.'
    'And where is Russia?'
'In the deepest trouble, Vasily Ivanovich.'
'Stop that,' he shouted seriously. 'You can joke when your commander orders you to. Answer.'
'Well, of course, on the Earth.'
    We clinked glasses and drank.
    'And where is the Earth?'
    'In the Universe.'
    'And where is the Universe?'
    I thought for a second.
    'In itself.'
'And where is this in itself?'
    'In my consciousness.'
'Well then, Petka, that means your consciousness is in your consciousness, doesn't it?'
    'It seems so.'
'Right,' said Chapaev, straightening his moustache. 'Now listen to me carefully. Tell me, what place is it in?'

Can you name the sources suggesting the size. I can't find
Anywhere regarding that. I heard that alaya expands as per voyager moves.

This was something originally posted by Mizukume (who isn't here anymore) but I can never find his post anymore so here's my paraphrased shortened version of it:

In Buddhism the universe is made of 3 billion solar systems (a great trichiliocosm). A galaxy is made of 3000 solar systems (a small trichiliocosm), and 1000 small trichiliocosms make up a trichiliocosm, which actually aligns with the real scale of galaxies, galaxy clusters, and superclusters. so you have that 1 galaxy = 1 sanzensekai (3000 worlds), 1000 galaxies (a galaxy cluster) = 1 sanzendaisekai, and 1000 galaxy clusters (a supercluster) = the sanzendaisensekai.

So you can extrapolate from here and do some LB theorizing and think about how a fantasy tree has a galaxy inside it, but it also represents an entire timeline (or texture, but whatever), which is a lostbelt. This sort of supports that a timeline is somehow connected to a galaxy, and then with Suzuka's NP (Trichiliocosm) she can see every and all timelines, and that connection makes itself, pretty much.

They changed their name to Lily Emilio so that's why you can't find their posts easily.

For the trichiliocosm stuff there are these posts, the first of which is basically your paraphrased first paragraph and bits of the second (and also in Extra mats apparently):

Here onwards is a line of thought on the relation of the LB trees and trichiliocosms to Nasu cosmology:

Did we ever learn anything more about the other two Velber units besides Sefar after getting their designs in Extella Link? In LB5 maybe?

Other than the fact that Goddess of Revenge is taken it's shape or the phenomenon of her comes from velber? No.

It's presumably something they're saving for future works (e.g. an Extella sequel). Or maybe the Velber will just languish in worldbuilding hell like most of the DAA as Type-Moon continually fails to find a place to use them, I dunno.
