Do we know all the sources/types of magecraft? I remember Fairy Cup gave us the four main ones of regular magecraft (presumably Goetia related stuff), philosophy keys, egyptian magecraft and runes. Do we know of others? Do the magics count as separate ones? And what about Buddhism and Christianity, do they have their own ones or do they borrow from others?
Even in the 'western' traditions there are a bunch of schools. Touko lists kabbalah and alchemy (both of which we know are part of the western canon of magecraft), for example, in addition to astrology, xian stuff and runes.
Katatsuki Kouhon has mentions of runes and kabbalah again, but also includes '呪術', which I translated as hexcraft. It's the thing Tamamo uses. Most interestingly it mentions 'black' and 'white', which I imagine was to be appended like "black magecraft" (which is witchcraft, as explained in proto) and "white magecraft", but the latter is unknown so far and no explanation or elaboration is provided.Originally Posted by Kara no Kyoukai

One of Geronimo's skills explains that the Apache tribe makes contracts with spirits for their magecraft.
Japanese magecraft is explained in El-Melloi Adventures as making connections with the remains of kami, similar to Age of Gods style.
And Arc says she doesn't know a lot about South American style which implies it's its own thing.
Probably yin and yang. Onmyouji means yin-yang master. Strangely, I found that out from a chinese movie.

Also Australia exists but we were never given a hint of what an Australian mage would have.

I've always assumed the different types of magecraft were something like Paradigms from Mage: The Ascension, though without all the Consensus shenanigans. I guess you could just see it as a parallel to real-world academic/scholarly traditions, though.

I find interesting how Ciel changes the "mode" of the Seventh Scripture from criticism of reincarnation to "New Testament Angelology" when fihhting Arc. Why would giving the weapon angel properties make it more effective against Arc? Are angels a thing in TM works? Where do they come from?

Just a speculation and wild guessing.
A-Rays are said to be made by humans using the last of planet's resources. If we were to assume said "resources" come from the Inner Sea of The Planet, considering it's the very last before planet's death, then both them and Arcueid came from the same source. This might explain how an angelic Conceptual Weapon could affect Arcueid.
