Honestly, this sounds like the Sami had guns. Bows and arrows no bigger than a finger, explosive sound when fired, lead arrows that could be fired as far as they liked and were either blunt or pointed and could cause severe pain/instant death. This literally sounds like somebody who has never seen a firearm trying to describe bullets that haven't been fired compared to ones pulled out of people/things and similar events. Now I'm just imagining Luvia's ancestors pulling derringers on people like the fancy pants nobles they are and capping people that annoyed them. XD

It wasn't fallacies, she just left it as it was. Someone else decided to be a dumbass.

Would be nice if people bothered researching next time.
Difference between Ma/Akuma/Shin Akuma aside, leaving terms untranslated like that is just bad form. You adopt a translation convention and go from there (as with majutsu/magecraft and maho/True Magic). Of course, forcing your own by edit warring isn't the way to go, but even a bad translation (such as translating Seirei into Holy Spirits- made up example) is better than leaving a mess of romaji behind.

FWIW, I'm not a fan of translating Akuma to Devils since that makes the connection to Christianity all but explicit, which is almost never intended. Doesn't seem to be the here either, from what I've gathered.

Bad translations have no real reason to exist, as it causes unnecessary confusion. I don't know why you'd want shit work as a stop gap.

Akuma as devil is what I go with because the only story that throws the term in a real historical context is Salem. "Possessed by a demon" is appropriate for Salem witch trials context, but not nearly as much as "possessed by the devil", imo.

Just don't think about demons. It's not worth it. There's nothing to gain. Go home and be family men.

Funnily enough, probably the worst example you could've thought of for adopting a standard translation convention.

I'm writing this as I'm rushing to finish before I sleep, so excuse me for only addressing this one thing right now.

Yeah, I accidentally forgot to remove "Daemonium" from my post in the middle of my rush to reconvert the terms that I had coined on my own back to the ones on the wiki. For clarity's sake, my coined translations are as follows:

    Ma = Demon

Akuma = Daemonium (Latin diminutive of Daemon, plural Daemonia)

    Shinsei Akuma = Daemon

PS: I distinguish them in pronunciation by pronouncing the Dae- phoneme as "day" rather than "dee".

Don't see the reason to use bad TLs, you already have something else translated as Daemon, which is different from Akuma.

This is how the FGO materials describe Paracelsus' relationship to Zouken
    Makiri Zolgen

An acquaintance during his lifetime. A mage who possessed noble thoughts, and although their research contents differ, Paracelsus wanted to become friends with him. Since he is aware of Makiri as an idealist who should be a noble and respectable person, even if he saw Makiri at the time of the 21st Century, it does not appear likely that Paracelsus will regard him as the very same person.

I mentioned it precisely because of how much virtual ink has been shed over the matter. It doesn't have to be the ideal, just something that (almost) everyone agrees with.

But it's not "The Devil" but rather "a devil" and it's a manmade phenomenon, not a divine being, no?

Since you're from Saudi Arabia, I must wonder what exactly the term that Hassan's bit uses for Shaytan is.

In English, dae- is normally pronounced "dee." (Yes, it makes no sense.) Going by early Latin phonology, it should be "die."

Forgive the pedantry, I'm on autopilot at times like this.

Majin (魔神). It also explains that djinns are malignant Elementals, so there's a chance they might have nothing to do with this Sixth Imaginary Element thing, even if we've only seen Shaytan operating with a human host.

Maybe we'll get something on Shaytan in the Camelot movie 2 Q&A or maybe a official design in the movie.
