As Da Vinci said, she's still a Divine Spirit inhabiting a human body. She's still an A-rank Heroic Spirit, the only "weakening" she suffered is that she lost Gugulanna and she can't use the full extent of her Authority.

Havent played the event but i heard in the past that she used a special item for it. Not sure if that is legit or not

I didn't initially because I'm not confident in my memory of the details, but the Nanaya family have super advanced combat instincts that trigger whenever they see demons. It's part of the reason why Shiki felt the urge to go kill Arcueid. It's also the reason he was adopted by the Toono family. Makihisa wanted him there as last resort, to kill them in case they inverted.

Then when one of them does invert, and Shiki does his job like a good boi Makihisa decides to be a shitlord, save SHIKI and conceal what happened, and mindrape Tohno to forget everything.
