The state of the Abrahamic god is left somewhat vague in TM. I think it is deliberate, to avoid controversy.

I'll let the editors speak for themselves but surely you must realize what a colossal amount of effort it takes to diligently trawl the forum for relevant stuff and sort out all the chaff.

On the topic of Gods, did all of them exist prior to humanity, did human belief create them, or did Gaia/Alaya have a roll in their creation?
Are they powered by human belief, can they interact with the world if all humanity has perished? (I'm assuming they'll, or at least some, will still be around since I think the time axis doesn't affect them)
Gods stop being godly when humans stop believing in them. Definitely some existed prior to humanity. They're created by the planet, after all.
The main feature of gods is that they have authority over nature and can shape it as they wish, but their divinity comes from human ideas. So they get demoted to nature spirits if they lose that.
Also, since the end of the Age of Gods, the world is already in a state where gods no longer have the authority to appear in the world nor manipulate nature.
Gaia and Alaya is the unconscious, collective will to survive of nature and humanity, respectively. Not really relevant to creation of Divine Spirits at all.

I usually autoreplace "gods" in the pre-human context for "natural phenomena", since human worship is a prerequisite for actual deification.
So the way I understand it "this natural phenomenon took part in the creation of the world, much later humans worshipped that phenomenon and it became Creation God X, so Creation God X did actually create the world, from a certain point of view".
It seems to be a controversial matter, though, and it's merely my interpretation of the God stuff in the translated bits of CCC.

Maybe the God is actually a separate guy with authority over the phenomenon? Dunno. Can't check the facts. The turn of phrase "deified natural phenomenon" makes it sound like it is the phenomenon though.
...Which might lead to other funny stuff, like all thunder gods being pretty the same guy. Like Morpheus in Sandman who appears as a culturally-appropriate dream god to the humans who interact with him? Cuchulainn and Hercules are actually brothers? Stay tuned!
