Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.
How canon is the offensive spells thing in Grand Order?
I mean, it seems to exist solely for gameplay. There is no good reason for Mata Hari to shoot pink lasers beyond "we spent all the budget on making her tits bounce and knifing people animation would take too much work." Neither Andersen nor Shakespeare cast attack spels in their respective titles, and the implication with both seems to be that they are largely combat incapable on their own.
This is important, because it answers the question whether Shakespeare was a magus in his life. Up until now, it seemed he wasn't, and that his NP and Skills are granted to him through the Grail and fame of his works, and are only possible after his death out of the accumulated mystery. Neither Andersen nor Shakespeare have Magecraft a a skill, either, or any equivalent. They have Territory Creation and Toolmaking, but those are class skills.
With Marie it's pretty obviously her being so delusional she bends reality, and Mozart doesn't really seem human.

Like the Cu fire ball shooting is very canon.
But there are some that obviously aren't. Like Shakespeare shouldn't even be fighting. He should standing back writing everything.

They basically handwaved Shakesphere with an ambiguous "there was a undocumented 7 years of his life" to suggest he was studying magecraft. Anderson and Shakesphere are completely incapable of conventional magic. All they do is write stuff down to make their magic happen.
It's purely for gameplay purposes.

Well, it couldn't have possibly been rape, because I ended up really liking it.
So just remember the next time you play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the piano, it was probably the activation of a single bar magecraft and he probably composed his version of it for Marie. (It's funny because she's the voice of Marie)
