Exactly what it says in the title. When, indeed, was the last time you felt hope for FGO, as opposed to disappointment and resignation? The more details the better.

Depends on what you feel “hope” is? If ya wanna say the last time I was confident FGO would be good it was the Mahoyo collab last year.
It was a long time coming collab, happening in a time we thought our collab was taken up already. Nasu was on writing, the main 3 cast members all got made playable with fun and unique gameplay styles and animations. There was a lot of cool new lore and character interactions we hadn’t gotten before. It really felt like we had finally gotten to a big event since Mahoyo is one of the other 4 Pillars and all. Nasu seemed really passionate too.
Was cool, I look back on that time fondly.
Lilim Harlot. Fgo kind of peaked there for me. Though I wouldn't say everything after that has disappointed me nothing has really given me the same hype Lilim Harlot did.
Never?

I wouldn't say I'm always in negative mode but calling my indifference hope would be too generous
Like yesterday? Lilim Harlot is really fun, and LB7 is good too.
Binged All Of Gundam In 4 Years, 1 Week and All I Got Was This Stupid Mask
FF XIV: Walked to the End
Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
I honestly can't say for sure.
I often pinpoint post-Olympus as the even-more-cynical-than-normal era for FGO, where stretching out the story became more important than telling it. But I only caught up with FGO when Tunguska released in JP. After that I had to wait a full year for LB7, then after that we got the Filler Arc. I can't quite say I "lost hope" as soon as LB5 was done with, because I wasn't here for it at the time, but it's not quite accurate to say I "kept it" until LB7 either.
Sometime between catching up and LB7, I looked back at what had been done to the progression of the story of Part 2, and realized they were more interested in stalling that story than giving it a natural pace toward its conclusion.
What do you mean by "hope," here?
Edit: I guess if I had to give an answer, all the time? I enjoy the game and it's story, and I also hope it's good and/or gets better.

You are not immune to propoganda, probably.

I don’t know, it’s hard to track timeline wise because of ups and downs. I’m not sure I can say it was LB7, because the release schedule diluted its impact a lot even before the Ordeal Stall hit, and I could tell we weren’t heading the finale straightaway anyhow.
Mahoyo is certainly a shout, but I very much stopped playing the game by then, I just came back for the event.
As hilarious as having hope in a gacha game of all things sounds, well...
I guess the closest for me was the Lasagna started working in the game and added extra missions and the like for starting players, sort of modernizing the game a bit. I loved that the game was finally getting some solid QoL updates, but after some time they stopped (what else they could have done in another matter for another thread).
And I guess the Mahoyo event? I have not read it the og story, but looking from the distance, the event looked sick and the servants were cool. Aoko is mechanically speaking such a baller servant, made me look forward what else was next that year.

That's a trick question; now when was the first time I felt hope for FGO? It hasn't happened yet.
I guess White Day 2024 despite knowing it was a mad hope to begin with.
But it was utterly unrelated to most anything FGO and purely linked to a specific character.
Petri's arbitrary limit
Those Beni and Gilles buff were not THAT good
As for me, uuuhhh the Road to LB7 campaign had made me hope that at least we would be free by the end of the year. See how well that worked out

Was there really no hope in you when OC1 first showed tophat man? Like in those few days between the advertising and the actual release of the story
