Please explain the logic to me. FGO got its very own thread right from the get-go, as soon as the 2015 TM Ace came out. I was here when that happened. Sure, it didn't get its own sub-forum right away, but how is that any weird? No other piece of TM got its own sub-forum, it's "General Discussion" for TM and "FGO General" for FGO. Why should FGO have been given special treatment from the get-go, that makes no sense.

But it's just kinda jarring to see how differently you guys react to FGO stuff than other parts of the fandom.
Because unlike you, we like those other things way more than FGO. You're "eating good" all the time. We're starving.

It should have happened so much sooner. By the time London was releasing it was painfully clear that FGO was a big deal. I could argue before that even before that it was obvious. I remember the first week and entering the FGO facebook group and seeing the memes it was soon after than a FGO sub reddit came up. If they can do it beast's lair could have too. The game was a smash hit from launch bigger than any fate media. The fact that you guys didn't is just you not wanting to acknowledge that a gatcha game was going to be the new direction type moon was going in.

That's a personal choice. If you want to stick your head in the sand and scream "GATCHA BAD" that's on you. FGO constantly gives new content faster than ever before. Was type-moon before really better? Lets say in some alternate universe did didn't make FGO. You might have gotten Tsukihime remake sooner but you still would have less stuff overall. And in the meantime anime is evolving. The state of type moon is it responding to a changing industry and because it adapted well, it has been able to stay relevant. So I do think that you are getting food and I still think that the things you want will still happen. If you think about it that way, there is a ton of things to look forward to.

A reality in which Tsuki:Remake came out earlier than it did (which also would affect Red Garden) would have been a better reality than the current one we are in, frankly.

TM absolutely failed to respond to the changing industry, did not adapt well and absolutely did not stay relevant, sad as it is to say.

The reason to split off a section of the topics in the forum has nothing to do with how "big" you, mr. Ubergeneral, think the topic is. It has to do with whether the people in charge of the forum believe it is warranted given how much it is taking over discussion of everything else. If I were one of those people, I would've split off FGO sooner so regular old GD could stay being regular old GD as much as possible.

What the fuck even is this sentence.

I'm not trying to convince you that "FGO is bad". I'm trying to make you understand our emotional response to it. We know for a fact FGO blocked the other things we like. The remake isn't even really out yet, we still have 2/3 of it left to come out. No one even has hope for the Mahoyo sequels anymore.

How can you look at that, have someone tell you "I rly like these things I'm not getting", and not understand that they might be upset at the thing blocking them?

You not engaging in an honest discussion is what's really the problem. No one really has a problem with you because you like FGO as much as you do. They have a problem with you because of how dismissive you are of what they say when they're trying to have a discussion with you. You keep bringing up the same points, as if the only reason anyone could ever have to dislike FGO is because they think "Gacha bad", and that they should like FGO because "endless content". You seem to ignore what people try to tell you. We're not having a real conversation.

I have had someone tell me straight to my face that they enjoy FGO way more than the Tsukihime remake, and he's one of the people in this community I respect the most. I love talking to him.

Alright, now off you go. You can come back in 3 months having not seen (or pretending not to have seen) this post.

Aye. I just felt I had to get that out there just in case.
I will work to resist the urge. And if that fails, I shall go to therapy.
