    This is Higashide's courtroom chapter.
Higashide is a writer with experience working in a courtroom series, Danganronpa (ignore how the one entry he's involved with doesn't feature trials at all).
Higashide's most iconic contribution to Danganronpa is taking another writer's popular spin-off antagonist with a strongly teased return, the hypercapable and extremely vile little girl named M_naka, whose original was to re-invoke a symbol of calamity in the present era out of twisted devotion to the presumed wills of the person she's infatuated with, and depicting her as a broken neet who ragequit her goals (disregard how HimuTen already did a Manaka equivalent like this) and is now trying to launch her self into space.

    I'm expecting kino.

(Disclaimer: I don't seriously believe Manaka will be there)

If we actually get a Dangan Ronpa moment in this chapter, I will be very very happy.

This... this is... will we finally have some mythological angels in TM? I've been waiting ages for this! The best we had on angels was the first Case Files story and Daybit's angels-in-name-only that are probably just an evangelion reference. Now, knowing TM's history with the theme I feel like it might be just an aesthetic choice and we won't deal with any actual angels, but I will hold a small sliver of hope. If there are any, I just hope it isn't just Metatron. I like the Catholic version of Angels being spiritual beings without free will (so no Nephilim being the children of angels and all that, Angels don't have sex or gender), so Metatron, who is a human, Enoch, ascended, doesn't fit. A human soul with free will shouldn't be able to become an angel. But who am I kidding, they'll probably go with the occultist lore instead of the Catholic one.

Angels in Catholicism have always had free will. You're thinking of Islam.

I'll admit the title is interesting in terms of interpretation. Metatron and Enoch are figures steeped in mysticism and folklore. The voice of god, therefore a judge, fits perfectly for Ruler OC. Then the Trinity part, well... impossible not to think of the Christian Trinity. FWIW, SMT does touch on Metatron possibly being the Holy Ghost of the Trinity, which would easily explain the title. I can't help but think about Holmes' three components, though. I always assumed bodhisattvas, though it would be funny if Fate did Metatron = Maitreya.

EDIT: Or I'm overthinking this and it's Metatron coming to judge Holmes. But in any case, a direct appearance of an Abrahamic angel would be pretty wild, especially one as close to God as Metatron.

I really wanna counter with her design being to "demonic" but if one thing fgo taught me then to never count my chickens before they hatch when it comes to a servants identity being coherent to their design, looking at you foreigner Molay.

My apologies in advance for the poor usage of "Don't count your chickens before they're hatched" but sadly no other proverb came to mind

She's also clearly an Alter, so all bets are off

The title is "judgement of mankind" so I don't think Holmes is the one on trial.

As per Moriarty's Interlude, if Holmes ever comes back for the case of the Bleaching it's as a witness, with
    Poriot
    someone else
potentially taking up the role of detective. He can probably still be tried for being an accomplice though

Poirot is another character I would love to see. This chapter is shaping up to be my favorite one yet. Hope Higashide delivers the hype.

Poirot being left ofscreen in Shinjuku is the only thing that fuels this copium.

As much as I hope he appears, I do admit it's mostly copium. The character is still trademarked, so he probably can't be used. That's probably why he only appeared off-screen.

Angels in Catholicism have always had free will. You're thinking of Islam.
Speaking of Angels and Islam, especially on the topic of Metatron. There is a typical criticism that muslims have of the jews about Metatron, and that is this. In Islamic tradition, Metatron became a symbol for the idea that Jews worship "God-as-old-man" or an angelic being instead of God. Muslim heresiologists repeatedly accused Jews of venerating an angel as a lesser god (or an Incarnation of God), especially for celebrating Rosh Hashanah.
