Honestly it’s happened over such a long period of time due to the LB saga’s length that it’s a bit difficult to put into perspective, but Kadoc’s character evolution really was a very cool one to see play out.

I was team "let's keep him" since LB1, if only because I thought he looked so cute and pathetic. Honestly I'm still kind of surprised he became our buddy but I'm happy that someone on the writing room was on the same page.

Hm, the thing here is they keep saying “they have a different definition in the world of magecraft” and not “that’s not what they actually are”. Could it be that “Angel Metatron in a magecraft context” is just different from “Metatron from the Bible” and not that Metatron from the Bible doesn’t exist?

Yeah I agree. I think we all love Kadoc, it was really satisfying seeing him go from enemy to uneasy ally to dear friend.

This is perhaps the greatest strength of these long form stories.

I wished they could give Kadock more screentime by having him join in the OCs or events. It would make the eventually farewell even stronger.

I can see OC2 being something at least, though maybe a significant event considering it's Dantes. OC3 was obviously an event that ballooned into more. OC1 is the most "we had to make this one" of them.

OC2 could have been an event, given all of Dantès' relevant content, and most of Jalter's, was in events or non-main stuff.

The Count was created for OC in the first place. All we knew about him before was Sakurai mentioning offhand he was one of the two Casters gibbed ofscreen in Heian Kyo.
