F in chat for Kadoc, he went out as a real one. Lilith coming in from the top rope is a hilarious CG.

I'm curious as to what people would pick for Metatron questioning Gudao at the end, assuming no railroading. I picked Yes to Sin and Punishment but No to Evil.
More or less. Theres no point pretending the lostbelts weren't a choice we made not that we're exempted from consequences but evil is a no.
I'll admit that it's not like our choices don't have consequences, but that doesn't make them crimes or sins or anything else. They're just things that we did that we didn't like doing but had no alternative at the time. (I know, theoretically Chaldea could have investigated further to determine if the Lostbelts were in fact the cause of the bleaching or even discovered the Alien God's true identity. But in practice the chance of that happening is minimal, even if we don't also assume the Alien God wouldn't have used Holmes to plant misleading information. It can't be understated that he was in the ideal state to determine what we could and could not learn, even if he himself did not realize that.)
Having finally finished reading the chapter myself, was the thing about Galahad being the equivalent of Grand Ruler just BS misinformation? I don't recall seeing that but anywhere.

Do you know that this a public forum and not your own private room? Also I'm not engaging with your tiresome arguments, I'm warning you and honestly Pokesamus too- we do not need to turn yet another thread into a 5 page waste of time where you drag everyone into your new wonk of month while ignoring most of what's been said to you. At least give us 2 months break if you can't help yourself

Lilith is watching the world crumble alongside her Master.
Lilith asks her Master if he minds that her wish for the Grail is to destroy this world, which he says he doesn't. After all, if the Grail doesn't refuse her, then there must be some purpose to her wish. Lilith points out that she hates her Master's attitude, but there's no denying that his insane supply of magical energy is allowing her to reach new heights in combat. She might not be on Metatron's level, but if it's just for destroying the Singularity, it's more than enough.
Mashu and Guda are finally nearing their destination. Ahead, they spot Lilith, and beside her, a man in a suit of armor. Guda vaguely recognizes the man, and has a flashback/vision to a scenery like Fuyuki, where the man spoke to them.
???:
Give up. There is no Human Order for you to protect.
You, drifter from a distant future... Or rather, from the correct version of history.
You have no chance of victory. The human world will perish. That is how the future has been fixed.
Fujimaru:
I know someone who once said the same.
But it was nothing more than an empty fantasy!
As long as there are humans with the will to fight, the future remains a blank canvas!
???:
Exactly. The future has literally become a blank canvas, like you said.
If only there was anything left to burn, or better yet, anything left at all.
But this planet has forsaken any such remnants altogether.
Humanity is at a dead end. This is one year in the future.
This is what Earth is destined to look like after you stop the Incineration of the Human Order.
The King of Mages once said, "Your happiness lies in doing nothing."
I'll repeat those words once more. Our history will not continue into the future.
Fujimaru:
Because we...restored the Human Order?
Mashu snaps Guda out of it. She takes her Master's hand, and leaps across the floating remnants. Almost everything has collapsed at this point, but that doesn't mean the Singularity will be fixed. It'll try to wedge itself into human history while in this collapsed state, and the crumbling will spread from the Singularity to destroy even the regular laws of physics outside.
You make it to Lilith and her Master (who Mashu doesn't seem to recognize, by the way). With the way her Master is looking, you're unsure if he's even alive, but she assures you he is. Nevertheless, she does all the talking, and starts by congratulating you on being proven guilty, but offers her condolences regarding Kadoc. Had there been more time, she would've liked to offer a flower for his grave. But there isn't any time, because they have a duel to the death planned.
She says that if you win, you'll be able to repair the Singularity, and if she wins she'll just repair it in your stead. Mashu thinks that just makes the duel pointless, but Lilith reminds her it's a battle to the death. If this is the price for getting to kill Mashu, Lilith will gladly pay it. You ask why Lilith would do all this, and depending on whether you talked to her that one night, she either reminds you that she just hates Mashu so much it drives her crazy, or simply reminds you of the fact.
Now, Lilith finally introduces her Master for real. While he initially says there's no need for introductions, as he's met Guda once before, even if only in a vague dream, as the white dust on him washes away, the Master reveals that he is in fact Galahad, a knight of the round table. Lilith thinks this must totally mean justice is on her side, after all, the basis of Mashu's whole thing is ganging up with the one who hates her most.
Galahad explains that CHALDEAS summoned him when the planet was bleached, and that the Galahad standing here and the one who imparted his Saint Graph on Mashu aren't the same continuous being, so there's no need for her to feel indebted to the one here right now. Mashu throws out a line about him being her savior and the knight she aims to become, but Galahad says that cannot be true. She doesn't actually want to become like him, it just so happened that his nature and her ideals coincided. He's nothing more than a reference book to Mashu. Besides, all he did was hand her a weapon in the form of his Saint Graph. Though he might often be called the perfect knight, he sees himself a fool who gave a gun to an innocent child.
You ask why then he helped save Chaldea back then, to which he says he didn't. The only thing he was trying to save was Mashu, or rather her virtuousness, as she tried to defend the inhumane researches who had experimented on her.
Galahad:
I protected a person of value, rather than one without. That's all there is to it.
But even that was a mistake. Mashu, I saw your emotions through our connection.
I won't speak of what I saw. That would be a violation of privacy.
But I will speak of what I concluded from it. I'm disappointed in you, Mashu Kyrielight.
Your pure virtousness, refined in battle, would eventually blossom into a perfect fairness.
Having witnessed so many mistakes and losses, you would gain a viewpoint transcending good and evil.
You would become the embodiment of absolute truth, worthy of the Ruler title. Much like me.
But you chose the opposite path. Having seen the world's unequality, you showed understanding to both good and evil.
You gained humanity that allowed you to love both. You discarded the angelic nature granted to you by the Lord.
And worst of all, you sided with the evil that is Chaldea, steeping yourself in ever greater sin.
You have fallen. I can no longer overlook it. For that reason, I chose to help Lilith with her barbarities.
Evil must be met with evil. As the one entrusted with the Shield of the Round Table, I will destroy your shield.
You all realize that a fight is inevitable, and so both Masters prepare to give orders to their Servants.
Galahad:
My name is Galahad, the one bestowed by the king with Siege Perilous, the protection of the Castle of White Walls.
Mashu Kyrielight! Valiant Fujimaru!
If you cling to Pan-Human History so, then show no mercy! Now...come at me!
--- [Battle against <Lilith> (Galahad Master support)] ---
Conditions: Mashu (Paladin) must be in frontline, cannot be swapped out. Habetrot cannot be used. You lose if Mashu is defeated.
Lilith's opening line in the fight is: "Okay Kyrielight. We're both satisfied with this, right? And no 'let's have us a battle to the death' from me, 'cause I'm the only one gonna be doing the killing here."
After 2nd bar break, Lilith says "Hey, Master, gimme some more!" as she fully charges her NP, and Galahad's response is "That I cannot do. There is a limit to barbarianisms," as he uses a CS to reduce her NP charge.
After 3rd bar break, Lilith says "I'll use whatever damn cheats I need" as she buffs herself with "unallowed" buffs and transforms into her third ascension. Galahad replies "Needless to say, this is not allowed. Be more earnest," as he uses another CS to remove her buffs again.
After 4th bar break, Lilith asks for support from her Master, to which Galahad says "I'll avert my eyes. Show your true self, Lilith," and gives her a bunch of buffs.
After death, Galahad says "If the Servant is defeated, the Master must step in. Withdraw, Queen of the Night", and he enters battle instead of Lilith, saying "I understand the point you're making, so display it to me in full force".
Galahad takes very little damage from anyone but Mashu, and counters every attack. The battle ends after you take off his first bar of 1.2M HP.
--- Battle End ---
Lines spoken in the cutscene are something like (partly stolen from where I could find translations because I don't want to translate this fully by ear):
Galahad:
The wedge and tower of the Human Order. Behold this noble end.
By my true name, I proclaim the ideal! Shatter--High Road Camelot!
Mashu:
Sir Galahad! I'm sorry, but no matter what you say, I cannot ignore this feeling!
True name, inscribed.
This is our oath, binding countless worlds and dreams!
Thank you, for the many miracles! Thanks to you, I have become someone I can be proud of!
Witness its proof! Road Chaldeas!"
Galahad:
Jeez, I guess you never did care about what I had to say.
After the battle, Lilith has retreated, and Mashu wants to chase her down. Galahad says he's defeated, and so only Lilith remains as an enemy, so if Mashu wants to chase her, she should. Actually, Galahad would like to talk with Guda anyway, and says it'll be fine since he's on the verge of death already (despite not looking like it at all). You trust Galahad, and Mashu runs after Lilith.
You begin by asking why Galahad turned on Mashu. He says that it's not so much that he's her enemy, as he's an obstacle she must overcome. She still has a lot of things to learn, so he's teaching her, especially about what it meanas to carry the shield. He explains that it's not about maintaining some principle of fairness, but that she herself has to judge what's good and evil.
Galahad:
What is good, and what is evil? What should be allowed, and what should not be? It is something she has to decide on her own.
Because of her purity, she could never do that on her own before.
But now she's different.
She has learned what is important to her, what is sad to her, what it means to love, and what it means to BE loved.
And most importantly, she has learned to fear losing the person she treasures. That, and that alone, is something I don't have anymore.
She has lost her angelic nature. But in exchange, she has reclaimed her humanity, becoming a Shielder unlike me.
And it is because of that...that Lilith hates her.
We get a scene from Lilith's PoV, where she says it's intended to explain why she hated Mashu, and how their relationship came to be like this. She explains that she was summoned in Antarctica, though only because the Human Order had become so warped that it probably just randomly spat her out. Because of her pointless summoning, she had no goal or anything, so she was destined to just die then and there. That's when she'd met Galahad, and when she explained her situation, he readily made a Master contract to sustain her.
She talks about how difficult it usually is for a Servant to act as Master to another Servant, since one of the roles of a Master is to act as the anchor for a Servant to remain in the material world, which a Servant can't do. But Galahad is an exception, "because he's the Gatekeeper of this world". Still, Galahad had no mission or reason for her to be, so even though she was saved she spent a lot of time just watching the bleached earth. Eventually, she had a dream, but not of Galahad's past. Instead, she saw the past of an awful little girl who'd borrowed his powers. It was a dream full of pain, suffering, and despair, with no hope, compassion, or kindness anywhere to be seen.
That part, I didn't mind. There are tons of humans like that.
Humans born in the clutches of despair, raised on hate, who ultimately don't achieve a single thing.
There are a sickening amount of innocent sacrifices who'd been born in the long history of humankind.
I don't mind it. If that was all, I would've at least felt sorry for her. The bad part was her heart.
She had no resentment. Instead, she had virtousness. She had no malice. Instead, she had love.
Unbelievable. Had she been born a saint, sure, but she was just a girl living with such overflowing virtue.
Unresigned, despite her powerlessness. Innocently believing in other people despite the power hidden within her.
Ahh, what else can you call it, but...DISGUSTING!
DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING! DISGUSTING!
Seeing just how inhuman this girl was in her way of life and her beliefs made Lilith's head almost burst with hatred. She might have been shaped like a human, and had the soul of a human, but there was one fatal flaw to her, and that's why Lilith couldn't accept her, and had to kill her. It's because she was nothing more than an automata pretending to be human, and the fact that those around her treated her like a human that really pissed her off. She wouldn't have minded if they'd pitied or even just adored her, but if they were to respect her as a human being, then Mashu Kyrielight had to be a sworn enemy of Lilith. After all, Lilith was someone who could never become human.
Some time later, they'd manifested inside the Singularity. She explains that Galahad had been specifically summoned so that his angelic nature could serve as energy for the archangel Metatron. Shortly thereafter, she'd met Mashu, and felt the same wave of hatred wash over her. She was amazed how no one else had noticed just how sick and twisted Mashu was, pretending to be human when she obviously wasn't. Lilith did wonder for a while if this had anything to do with her own history.
She explains that once upon a time, she was a she-demon of Mesopotamia. She didn't know anything about any First Man, and especially not about being his wife. She was a demon, and yet she had human form, but unlike Mashu, she wasn't allowed to blend in with the others. Maybe that's where all the hatred and envy comes from. But she'd quickly realized that wasn't the reason. If it was something that simple, then surely they could've reconciled after fighting once. In the end, she thinks it doesn't matter what her reason is, or even what started it. The only thing that matters is that she is driven by her hate for Mashu, and that's all there is to it. If she gets to kill Mashu, she's fine with losing everything else.
She mentions how she has over a hundred Grail Drops in her possession, all saved for this moment. She knows it's an illegal move, but is certain that if she offers up everything here then she can shatter Mashu's shield. She uses the Grail Drops to alter her Noble Phantasm, turning her "
For Lilim
O My Foul Beloved Children
" into "
For Kyrielight
To You, A Misled And Faint Prayer
".
Normally, this vile Noble Phantasm entails using myself as a cannon to shoot my children as bullets. But they wouldn't even dent that pure and sturdy shield.
To pierce it, to utterly shatter it, I myself am needed.
So I prayed...that I would be able to impale and kill her. I prayed...that I would beat her down.
I want to win. I don't want to lose. I want to be the superior life form.
Superior to you. To the one who claimed the class of the holy knight. To Paladin Mashu!
This is her final, ultimate move. It is everything she has, and if it works she'll be more than happy to face death herself. The bullet rivals the destructive force and magical energy of even the Black Barrel. It is a bullet crafted from the magical energy of the Woman of Storms together with the wrath of her soul, travelling at mach 10 towards its target.
Mashu Kyrielight must've realized the nature of this bullet through intuition alone.
It cannot be avoided, nor can it be repulsed. Not even halting its momentum will cheat it of her death. It is by pure instinct that she realizes that this bullet, this Noble Phantasm, was made only to kill her. Don't run. Face it. That's what she's thinking. No, she WANTS to face it.
Mashu Kyrielight cannot stand Lilith. Not because of all the times Lilith insulted her and got in her way. And not because Lilith despises her, or that Lilith is her enemy either.
Much like Lilith herself, Mashu always thought--always was CONVINCED...
Right... I get it now. What she feels for me, and what I feel for her is---
So she can't die yet. Not until she tells Lilith those words directly. No matter what.
Habetrot's voice interrupts Mashu's thoughts. She says that it's time they forge her other Noble Phantasm. We get a flashback to when Da Vinci and Habetrot talked before the mission, with Da Vinci saying that she'd entrust the Holy Sword essence to the Round Table shield. Because Habetrot is the shield's guardian fairy, she'd directly feel the pressure of the essence on her Saint Graph, and that's why she became unable to physically manifest after the rayshift. The reason Habetrot had to keep it secret at the start was because having Mashu bear the burden alone of wielding a Noble Phantasm like this at the power level she was at then would've been torture.
Habetrot:
You chose to protect. Not to attack, but to save.
And so this light is not meant to attack your opponent. It is the power to literally repair the world.
Your heart and your nature are what determined the nature of this nameless sword.
That is something I take pride in. It shows that Chaldea's journey has been a righteous one.
Now... No matter who or what your opponent may be, this Holy Sword will provide salvation to all of it.
I grant upon the newest Servant the newest Holy Sword.
Mashu:
Anti-calamity, anti-space-anomaly Noble Phantasm: Deployed.
Anti-Black-Barrel: Constructed.
Begin space-time reparation operations in standard position.
Area correction: Complete. Layer Safelock.
Record Counter, from paradox to paradigm! Strike out! I won't miss even by a millimetre!
Rayproof Kyrielight!
Mashu retaliates against the bullet that is Lilith herself with her new Noble Phantasm, "
Rayproof Kyrielight
Hope-Proving Sword of the Human Order
", and with that, the battle is over. Lilith could not evade the attack, even if she tried. Not that she ever intended to. She had exposed her entire being, and borne witness to all of Mashu's in return. Lilith can barely keep her consciousness together, as Mashu stands before her, trying to get those words out. And eventually she does: "I hate you". With that, they finally have something they can agree on, and so they bid each other farewell, and Mashu turns her back on the defeated to return to her Master.
Mashu reports back, and you tell her that Galahad is waiting to speak to her as well. In the meantime, you say that you'll go to Lilith. When you get there, Lilith just wonders why the hell you're there, since she's given up literally everything she had, but you just say that you felt like someone should be there for her in her final moments. She says she doesn't need it, and repeats to you just how much she insulted Mashu. When you press her on whether it really was for no reason, she says that maybe there was one small reason, which you promise to keep a secret from Mashu.
Lilith:
If wondered, what if... What if Kyrielight lost her Shielder rights, became unable to use the shield, and learned what it meant to have no purpose to her existence?
What if all her friends were killed, and in despair, she became unable to rely on anyone else?
What if her pride, her drive, her everything was dragged through the mud, damaged beyond belief?
If even then...even then, she was able to keep running forward, her head held high...
Then even if I did hate and despise her, that one part I would've wanted to admire.
Because that's what makes humans so wonderful. Because that positivity is what I like about humans.
Lilith has one last request from you: that you kiss her. You refuse, and she just laughs it off. Her actual last request is that next she and Mashu meet, they'll surely hate each other again, so she wants you to make sure that never comes to pass, and you give her your word you'll do so.
I lost, my body was ripped to pieces, and now I'm in such a bad state I know that I can't even struggle to survive.
I exchange a final conversation with her Master, and at last, I think these thoughts...
"If I get summoned to Chaldea and meet her again, I'll probably hate her all over again."
"And I hope that doesn't happen. I want to, at worst, just keep my distance from her."
"Because..."
"I want this unbearable hatred to be mine, and mine alone."
I smirk at the thought.
As for her, even after this, she'll have to continue to suffer just to obtain a paltry bit of happiness.
That is what it means to be human, and a fitting conclusion to her life.
Hate me, hate me, hate me.
That, and nothing else, is the one awful gift that I can give her.
Elsewhere, Metatron and Ashoka note that it's over. The Singularity is being repaired, and things will go back to how it was. But not everything will, as Kadoc is still lost. Ashoka notes how he would've liked to see Kadoc converse more, not with him, but with his friends. He would've liked to see him laugh and rage and err and learn. To reflect on past actions to find the way forward is simply a most human thing. Metatron says she will pray for Chaldea's safety, and hopes that they won't regret the end of their journey that is soon to come.
Dante comes by, being the last of the other Servants still remaining. He thinks about why he even wanted to see his Beatrice again, what form that love would take, and Metatron says that whichever it would've been, love remains one of the most fundamental aspects of humans. Dante disappears, and Metatron follows before long, with her praying to God that if Chaldea's journey is righteous, she wishes to atone for the sins she has committed here by at least gaining some atonement in battle.
Back with Mashu, she comes upon Galahad finally, who says that he feels neither she nor Lilith has any reason to feel ashamed about the way they feel about each other. After all, the closer you are, the more you fight, right? Mashu promises it's nothing like that, though. Galahad starts disappearing, but there's one thing he has to tell her first.
Galahad:
I was the first Servant summoned within CHALDEAS.
Ordinarily, it would be impossible to summon a Heroic Spirit from Pan-Human History within that Alien World.
But because of the Heroic Spirit Merging Experiment you underwent at the South Pole base, I gained a bond with Chaldea.
Using me as the starting spark, CHALDEAS managed to summon multiple Servants,
fashioning them into the Apostles of the Alien God.
In other words, I was used in the same way you of Chaldea employ the Round Table Shield.
Mashu figures that's why he mistakenly believed Chaldea was an evil organization, but he corrects her, saying it's not a mistaken belief. Even now, his evaluation of Chaldea hasn't changed. After all, the reason the planet is bleached is because of a plan hatched by Chaldea. You guys might have taken over after that plan was set into motion, but that doesn't change the facts. Besides, he says that even if you were to amend those mistakes, you can't stop CHALDEAS. Ever since you stopped the Incineration, its victory was secured. Or at least, that's what he believed until now.
He explains that Chaldea has accomplished the feat of containing a multitude of irregular factors without falling outside the bounds of the Human Order. Mashu has become a Shielder different from Galahad himself, which means CHALDEAS will no longer be able to simulate this future. With the clearing of Ordeal Call, you've created an opening.
He also talks about how originally it would've been his duty to repel Chaldea at Antarctica, but when the Earths swapped, Lilith appeared out of nowhere, and he made a contract with her temporarily because it would've gone against his chivalric principles to just leave her there. And while that contract was still active, Ordeal Call began, and the Human Order manifested Metatron as a rogue Servant, who sought Galahad's angelic nature as the core to maintain this Singularity, and dragged him into it by force, and so Lilith had to follow. But regardless of how tough that was, he explains that with this, CHALDEAS has lost its Gatekeeper, and Chaldea has gained one. In that sense, this Singularity has been a profit for you.
Finally, he says that he'd be lying if he said that he had no interest in seeing how this battle ends, but since right now he's still technically on CHALDEAS' side, the only way he can repay you right now is to be unsummoned. He tells Mashu to take care, and to give Guda his regards.
Galahad:
...Oh, just one more thing. I'm the one who should be thanking you, Mashu.

You're back in Chaldea, and despite the news of Kadoc's death, you're ordered to get some sleep before anything else. As you're unpacking, you find the notebook you got from Kadoc, and you decide to read it together with Mashu. In it is written fundamentals of magecraft, survival tips, and other things Kadoc thought was worth knowing. But you can't read this, it's too difficult to know that he's gone. Mashu turns to you, as tears fill your eyes, and holds you tight.
She says that she might never truly be the kind of Servant who can support you the way you actually need, but at least right now, in this moment, she'll lend you her aid. And so you sit like that, together, as you continue to flip through the notebook, until the very last page. There, a note reads:
"I figured things would turn out this way in the end. I was prepared for it."
"Being born a magus, I have a lot of different memories from life."
"Like the time I was almost killed, or the time I killed someone myself. Intense memories like that."
"But...I don't really know why, but when I close my eyes, the first thing I see are memories of you two."
"I was hesitant about whether or not having memories like this was okay for someone like me. Like, is that really allowed?"
"Farewell, my friends. I still can't believe how vibrant our days together were."
(These lines are voiced in-game, by the way).
The scene is ruined by Da Vinci, Sion, and Gordolf barging into the room, saying they technically have some good news. They say that on a pure technicality, there's a chance Kadoc might survive this. She reiterates what Kotomine told you, that if you defeat CHALDEAS and undo the bleaching phenomenon, then everything will go back to the way it was. Essentially, it'll be like a time leap backwards, and even those who lost their lives during this time period would be restored. It's just a matter of how far back you'll go, which Sion guesses will be to right before the Crypters' coffins opened (since that's when they disappeared and everything swapped and all). TRISMEGISTUS also estimated this to have an 87% chance of happening. And should that happen, it's not only Kadoc who comes back, but all the Crypters. So at least that's some good news.
Later, Sion clarifies this a bit to Da Vinci, saying that if the world reverts to 2016, the memories the Crypters have of this time would most likely disappear. In other words, even if Kadoc lives, he wouldn't remember Guda or Mashu, and their journey together. Gordolf is certain however that they became friends once, and so they can definitely do it again in a situation where they don't have to fight each other. More importantly, now there's nothing stopping you from accessing the final battle anymore.
--- Section 2 ---
First of all, you get two grails here because there's one that was powering the actual Singularity, and then you had the Grail Dagger that functioned as one as well. Secondly, you move on to check your Saint Graph list. Every Ruler you'd summoned are now in a frozen state. Their data isn't deleted, so they should still be able to participate in combat (at least as spot-summons, I guess), but anything else, like having them manifest inside the Storm Border, even just to talk, is impossible. Still, since they can still join in combat, it means your bonds aren't broken, and you still have Jeanne's banner on your side.
Finally, there's the matter of Paladin Mashu. Da Vinci explains that she technically hasn't gained more base power, it's just a matter of changed perception. That said, she's also no longer a Servant who transforms into a pre-existing Heroic Spirit in order to fight.
Da Vinci:
She no longer counts as a Heroic Spirit of Mankind, but as a Knight of Chaldea.
And what duty does this title entail? It should go without saying, "restoring the Human Order".
Mash's second Noble Phantasm is not a beam. It's a space-time interference that corrects and repairs any history that has diverged from official history, or any timeline that has become independent of it. Basically, it's a form of Rayshifting.
And there is no such Heroic Spirit for this Noble Phantasm. Neither in the past, nor the future.
In essence, it is weaponized rayshifting, and Da Vinci says that this is the original "Human Order Assurance Measure", the Grand Order that the Animusphere rightfully should've kept secret; Chaldea's ace in the hole before it went down the wrong path.
One last thing: since Mashu is no longer a Shielder, she's also lost Galahad's Saint Graph, which is good because it means she no longer has all the issues associated with that, including eventually becoming a living Servant. Her being a Paladin instead seems like an exception to that, since it's such a specila class that it doesn't even count as a proper extra class. However, one "downside" mentioned is that Sion believes the Human Order will only allow this class to remain until the Human Order has been reclaimed. In other words, once this is all over, Mashu will return to being a completely normal girl. Not that anyone has a problem with that, though.
Now all that's left is for you to prepare to face the Alien God, once and for all.
On the deck of the Storm Border, we see Jeanne Alter Santa Lily. She thinks about how she's the only one left; both her original and ideal self gone now. She knows there's nothing to do about it, but it's still lonely. But she's sure both of them did exactly what they intended to do, so she won't cry for them, but smile instead. She'll smile, and save the world, so that both of them can be at peace, knowing happily that she remained here in their place.
And so the order was resurrected, and the scales regained their balance.
All alone, the girl meant to become an inverted saint shed a single tear.
"Only because I was a bit tired", she tried to justify herself.

Now that I think about it, Kirei and Marisbury fought against each other in the Holy Grail War, right? I wonder how he actually feels about him. I suspect that'll come up in Fuyuki.
