A whole world away from Fuyuki, in a city of mages, a new War threatens to break out. Seven new Masters are chosen and enter a life-changing battle, unknowingly becoming part of a War in which there are more players than the eyes can see...
Lancer tripped on a tree root.
Indeed.

This battle was over.
A blasted landscape stretched as far as the two magi could see as they came out of hiding, with thick gray clouds hovering in the heavens. The rubble of the town they had taken refuge within crumbled down over their heads with their sudden motions, but they paid no attention to the stones as they bounced off their reinforced bodies. Up ahead, the remaints of a band of mercenaries that a local warlord had hired to kill them were sent scattering to the four winds.
“Geez, Emiya-kun, why'd you have to go and use Caladbolg again?” Rin groused. She ran a hand through her uniformly gray hair, sending dust up as its naturally dark color returned to her. Her outfit, a dark blouse and pants in earthy tones, had several rips in it. “You could have killed yourself projecting it in such a hurry.”
Shirou gave her a sheepish smile. “It worked, didn't it?” He defended, lowering the jet black bow in his hands. “Ow!” He winced as she stepped forwards and quickly flicked his forehead.
Rin ignored her lover's look of offense as she took the opportunity to grasp his chin. The cloaked man shifted a little bit uncomfortably as she turned his face from one side to another as she looked into his eyes.
“W-what is it?” He uncomfortably squirmed as she leaned towards him.
Rin smiled and pecked him on the chin. “I just wanted to touch you.” With a laugh, she skipped back away from his leisurely swing, holding her arms behind her back as she leaned towads him. “Nothing wrong with that, right?” She sing-songed.
Shirou sputtered, his face growing hot beneath Rin's wicked stare. “S-shut up!” He turned, sniffing as he held Archer's bow up against his left shoulder as he began to stomp away from Rin. He felt Rin's presence by his side moments after he began to march in the same direction that the majority of the mercenaries had fled.
“Don't do it again, okay?” Rin simply spoke up as they left the ransacked town behind them. He looked down as she lightly pressed herself against his side. “Take care of yourself a little bit better, idiot.” She looked up at him with shining eyes.
“Okay.” Shirou's right hand dropped down, wrapping itself around her slim shoulders.
The two of them continued walking in silence for a few moments.
“By the way, how many jewels do you think that warlord will cough up if I shove a Gandr up his ass?”
“Rin!”
Rin let out an hearty laugh as she dashed away from Shirou, forcing him to chase after her.

Three years ago.
Rin gave her sister Sakura a hug. Both of the women were teary eyed as they exchanged their goodbyes. Behind them, neither noticed Taiga Fujimura giving a stern lecture to a sheepish looking Shirou.
“Are you sure you'll be alright?” Sakura Tohsaka, having officially been granted the title of Owner of Fuyuki as of three days ago, glanced over Rin with a critical eye. The woman had changed a lot since she had been freed of her influence by Zouken Matou by her sister and her former upperclassmate. “There's been nothing but unrest in those countries lately.”
Rin smiled at Sakura with all the confidence in the world.
“Shirou is by my side. I have nothing to fear.”
Spoiler:
Rin seems a little... hyper, in that first part...
Probably the theme bleeding through the writing.
Spoiler:
She should know, injecting Sugar directly into the blood stream, will probably kill her faster then drugs would.
I was kind of thinking making it like a one shot. This one warlord getting taken down, but flash between different incarnations of shirou handling it. Shirou-Fate going it alone in Hardo modo, Shirou-UBW with Rin keeping his spirits up, and Shirou-HF with Medusa and Sakura Befriending the fuck out of the country with their hax.
Spoiler:
Dem buttwindows, dey be hard to forget.
Yeah, that is actually a pretty good idea, although HF Shirou's version would pretty much involve Shirou and Sakura sitting back and watching as Rider kills everything in sight, unless they've done a lot of training.
Well, Rider does manage it, admittedly....
Though, I don't think Rider cares about appearances.Well, Rider does manage it, admittedly....
Rin will begin teasing Shirou with her battle outfit when they bunk down for the night.
I fear I make my Rin too happy going sometimes.
Eh, I'm thinking they actually have so much raw power that they can choose to basically be more superheroy than the others. Medusa paralyzing a bunch of them. Sakura whisking people away via shadow and dropping them in the middle of bugfuck nowhere (I'm picturing her sending them to the corn fields...), Shirou pulling Nine Lives Blade Works and disarming anyone he wants.
Fate Shirou probably has to kill the most, sadly.
Spoiler:
Not after HF.Sakura whisking people away via shadow
I don't think "butchering and cutting to pieces" can be properly described as "disarming".Shirou pulling Nine Lives Blade Works and disarming anyone he wants.
Sux 2 b dem.Fate Shirou probably has to kill the most, sadly.
Then what's with the shadow magic in HA? I thought she could do that in post HF too?
Guess I was wrong.
They lack arms. Therefore it's disarming.I don't think "butchered and cut to pieces" can be properly described as "disarming".
Still, they're stupidly powerful as a group, I'd wager.
Spoiler:
HF is derpy about that. Then what's with the shadow magic in HA? I thought she could do that in post HF too?

Puntastic! They lack arms. Therefore it's disarming.
