uh, that really depends on the characterization presented mellon. shirou isn't an insensitive asshole for example. Rin does care for sakura, Kirei IS evil and so on. if the gm twists the characters beyond these roles after the game's start without reason or explaining the changes before hand then they are failing their responsibilities as gm and should be held accountable

I know exactly what situation you are referring to. And personally, in my opinion, Shirous behaviour was definitely not OOC to that degree (as in outside the reasonable limits of interpretation).

This, basically. General problems are general. GD for instance could use some... cooling down at one point or another, but these are just normal problems that can (mainly) be solved with additional general mods.

Fair enough. Though for most areas of the forum I would like to have a bit more of a tighter stance on trolling, backbiting, and flamebaiting as well as clearer consequences.

The "don't discomfort others" rule has worked in the past, but I don't see it as being enough now, because it so vague. What is discomforting? What should be done about it?
To be honest, I always liked to have this be under the discretion of the members, as they are supposed to be young adults, but I would say this needs a bit of streamlining.

actually i wasn't referring to ANY situation. I'm using general examples of characters to make my point.

as for accountable Ace I mean that players should not simply lay down if the interpretation does not make sense or is changed on the spot etcetera.

Yeah, there never was a suggestion for an RP-specific mod actually, just a general mod who frequents the RP forums, so pretty much all applicants are applying for a general mod position.
I don't even frequent the RP board and applied, thought maybe someone with an European timezone may be needed.

Personally, I have a major problem with 7th dimension. It's completely failed to take into account inflation over the years.

It should at least be the 9th dimension - maybe even the 10th!

Honestly, I can't tell how old any of you are, you might all be 9-12 and I wouldn't know it.
Well let us not get hooked onto semantics, before I throw out one of my metaphors.
Maturity is what I was getting at, the point being, is that I have trusted you guys to use your better judgement, which is what the past rules were based on in handling day to day matters, and not to excessively troll or flame.

Smoothing out what is appropriate from what is not appropriate is the key point I'm getting at. But of course, you guys aren't babies (I think? I can't tell anymore, I might have some genius toddler like in those e*trade commercials postin' here for all I know, lol) so any rules is going to take into account this is an adult community.

And that is about it. I'll leave this open for anyone with last minute extras they want to go over, but we'll talk about it after we commence the war council and iron out details. But if I see this used for spam, I'll lock it 'till we come to a decision.

Well about the other parts of forum thing...
It might not be such a great issue, but after looking at a few random fanfics just a while ago I noticed a serve lack of Disclaimers. Also I think that a warnings about possible mature content would be good to add (I know nobody cares anyway but we can at least pretend).
