I care about the "narratives and plot", I just don't think that it makes sense for a TM discussion forum to restrict discussion....
I'm assuming that it's Tobias' attempt to portray Google translate's attempt at translating FSN in image form....

...that said...its kind of a long story, start here, if you are really curious

You're missing my point there, Koto. There's still a lot of sections you can go by on BL. Heck even the 7th Dimension isn't so bad and then there's the Roleplaying Section as well. I also mentioned about using the spoiler box as you did show, but ultimately if someone wants to open it, let him. It's his choice.
And sometimes, Google translator can be so nutty at times. Granted, it has improved over the years as more people are using it, but it still has its own quirks when it comes to the context of the words you want to see translated from the root language to the objective language. It can pretty much make for something very amusing, just like making anagrams on the names of different people from different countires.
...Why hasn't such a thread been done on the 7th Dimension? Think of the many crazy anagrams we could make with a lot of names found on Google.
It's easy to believe in ideals, but it's harder to keep them when things go bad.

So, someone who can't yet play Mahoyo, but likes Tsukihime/Fate/KnK, should not go into the GD threads at all, but just stick to roleplays and 7th?
Uh, nobody said people shouldn't be allowed to open the spoiler tags.I also mentioned about using the spoiler box as you did show, but ultimately if someone wants to open it, let him. It's his choice.

It might be worth then starting a thread that is all technicalities, no plot points, explaining magic info as it shows up in the game that everyone can refer to for such discussions. I know there might be problems separating plot from technicalities, but some clear statements ought to be worth it even if one can infer things from it (Fifth Magic is X = Aoko can do X, so plot must have something to do with X!)
Maybe? I dunno. Just thinking aloud.
Localizationing stuff
The problem with that is Nasu likes SITUATIONAL BATTLES AND CONCEPTS. Y'know like how Shirou can beat Gil, Shirou beating Saber, NLBW, Shiki going batshit and killing Nero, Akiha only aiming at Shiki's arms and legs, weakened Kouma vs Shiki, Third Ryougi, Ryougi killing the future, etc.
So quite a bit of stuff might seep out and they have the full right to complain if there's a rule that we can't do that.

I'm just looking forward to the bountiful trolling opportunities afforded by a whole new VN and tons of people that don't want to know anything about it.
Expect to see that after any number of completely nonsensical statements that I make up on the spot.If you think I'm making that up, well, come back after Mahoyo is translated.![]()
You know I've still got Tsukihime, Fate, KnK, and Zero to get through in Japanese before I try to tackle Mahoyo, right? I'm not going to be reading it for a good, long, while. Anything I have to say about it will likely be nothing or lies.
Honestly, it's really more about being neighborly, we have had "non spoiler" threads and "spoiler threads" before to 'try' and counteract it, but this is more a test of manners than anything else.
And by God, I'll see to it you guys mind your manners! BL will become a charm-school. Believe it!
Kidding :3 Well, on the charm school thing at least
"Fate/stay night: not really an eroge, and not really a cooking sim, but actually an RPG wherein everyone’s primary stat is “self-loathing” and the goal is to level it up beyond all the other characters."
So either I can get spoilered or get out?
It's not that I don't want to read it, I just can't, because I can't read Japanese (yet).
Is that fair to you?
If it's released then yeah, it's my fault. But is it REALLY that hard to use spoiler tags?
I just don't get it, sory. It's not prohibiting anything, you can still discuss everything you want, you just have to press a button first. It even makes navigating the pages easier because walls of text are shrunk to one line.

That's not what he's saying. What he's saying is that a rigid spoiler policy isn't a good idea, but rather that it's sensible to rely on people not being dicks, at least most of the time.
And, honestly, I don't see the difference between a rigid spoiler policy and a more fluid one, in terms of spoiler avoidance. After all, if you get spoilered on something, I doubt that it's much consolation to you that a mod is going to show up in 5 hours time and put spoiler tags around the comment....
Plus, a rigid spoiler policy makes you less wary of spoiler avoidance, and as a result means that you are possibly more likely to get spoilered than if the policy is a little more fluid and sensible (i.e. if people are expected to use their discresion to decide if something should be spoiler-tagged, rather than hard rules which are likely to both fail to prevent spoilers and stifle discussion), because you won't be looking out for spoilers (for instance, I spent the first six months or so on the board trying to avoid Tsukihime spoilers, with a reasonable amount of success, simply by avoiding any arguments or threads that involved it).
The other people who might get spoiled, perhaps? And, honestly, I don't see the difference between a rigid spoiler policy and a more fluid one, in terms of spoiler avoidance.
