Speaking of, I really need to finish volume 6.

I'm at the climatic battle in the last parts too but holidays kept me away from it constantly.

Huh, the Tomozaki author plays Palutena.

Man of culture, I dig it.

Finishing Bookworm's Arc 2 before going to bed was a mistake.

I've just started arc 3 myself, what was it in the arc that kept you up?

    Spoiler:
Yeah that part was pretty sad. Main could take care of those corrupt nobles pretty easily but she couldn't beat society.

Volume 16 of Grimgar was such a disappointment. Unbelievable.

Picked up 86 volume 7 myself. Seems like a romance focused volume.

    super hyped for the anime.

86 v7: Finally. Power of love defeats racism and PTSD.

I told mami in the anime thread that the romance sometimes feels pretty joseimuke, well vol7 doubled down on that. tfw no dapper Shin gentleman bf.

Still at the early parts myself.

I tend to read in-between work & stuff (busy w/ other stuff on weekends as well) so each volume of whatever I'm reading takes me quite a while.

    Read Volume 4 of Tomozaki.

Took me a bit to get into it with the references to the part-time job stuff that got glazed over in the anime and Tomozaki coming off as a bit of a sociopath with the mentions of consciously and mechanically smiling and such but it smoothed out pretty quickly. I'm pretty curious what Hinami thinks of Tama; is she a bellwether for her? Certainly didn't expect the ending, which is somewhat sad. Emotions and earnestness only take you so far before you have to play the game... Is what I'd like to say, but where are the teachers lol? Japanese school system for you, I guess.

The volume was really funny when it wanted to be, though. I especially like the teasing give-and-take rapport Hinami and Tomozaki have. I can only hope we get the end of the basketball game animated one day. Also, it's hilarious how obviously besotted Tomozaki is with Kikuchi.

Now to decide whether to read V3 for the skipped stuff or V5 for progress.

Read Volumes 3 and 5 of Tomozaki.

Not much to say about 3 besides that I'm glad the finger wag was in the novel too. The anime really did bring it home. Now volume 5, whoof. Tama is powerful, and Tomozaki really has grown. LMAO at how blazing his crush is though, looks like next volume handles that so that should be hype. Curious if those are Mimimi flags I'm seeing too.
    Spoiler:
[But goddamn Hinami was out for fucking blood, that was some shit. I really want to see that animated, it'll be super-heavy and super-good.]
I'm more curious than ever about why Hinami's the way she is.

    Onto Volume 6!

Finished Volume 6 of Tomozaki. Mizusawa the chad, I kneel.
    Spoiler:
[Those really were flags; Mimimi taking the first confession with full power. Pity she's screwed though. It's good that Tomozaki's finally decided to make an effort to stop playing small though, so I'm really excited to see how that goes. I assume there's a climax to this in volume 7, and then the next parts start focusing on Hinami?]
At any rate, time to buy the first two volumes for completion purposes before finally catching up to all of the seasonal anime I've been blowing off.

Tomozaki vol 6: Mizusawa is seriously such an amazing guy, goddamn. Really liked this volume, probably my fave along with 3 and 5.

    Spoiler:
The stuff with Tomozakis crippling inferiority complex and self-deprecation is really sad and im glad our boy is starting to get over it.
