Though actually, there's something a bit annoying in fanfiction, the idea some shippers have that all male/male pairings need a top and bottom, and one has to be the MANLY MAN while the other one is the delicate flower. Plus silly shit like the "height rule" that the taller one has to be the top (I remember once someone's reaction upon hearing that Shinji and Shirou are the same height was "then by yaoi logic, they could never have sex!")

Yaoi and yuri fans don't know what a real homosexual relationship is like. That's why all the weird rules attached to it.

Well, I wouldn't say none of them do, but the stereotypical YAOI SO KAWAII SQUEE fangirls probably don't and those are the ones who insist on the seme/uke stuff.

That seme-uke thing isn't really that prevalent in yuri/shoujo-ai though. Or at least not as heavily applied.

I can usually accept the "he/she was bisexual and we never knew about it" explanation, but it does get a little hard to suspend disbelief when the entire cast is suddenly bisexual in a single fic.

That only works in Torchwood fanfics, mainly because the entire cast is already bisexual in canon.

You know this is just a question that's been bothering me for a while. Gae Bolg. Two uses. First is reverse of casualty. Effect happens and then rewrites reality to make cause had happened.

Second is throwing it and causing it blow up the enemy. Does the second one still follow the rule of Reverse of Casualty or heart seeking?

Actually, this brings up another one: writers who detail sex when they've clearly never had sex. Genshinken brings up how wrong that is.

It always hits the area that the user specifies it to hit, blowing them away. No heart seeking. At least, that's what the TM wiki says, so it's a bit iffy.
