I confess, thats how I feel about potions in general
just use healing magic when you can, mp aint that hard to get back
or at the end of the game/later points you usually have/can get weapons that make it easier (like 1mp cost, or like gain mp back everytime you attack, or shit like that)

Not really, by the time you get cura, you probably have haste. That makes healing obsolete.

I confess, regen is sometimes useful, dependign on the monster/boss you're fighting, but really kind of a waste of time
and cure/cura necessity depends on how broken your healer is
