The likeliness of that is quite low. I'm expecting, hopefully, reduced free time in the coming months. Fortune-willing, on a ship. (A new) DotA (game) ranks quite low in my priority list when determining what gets done during my free time.

I'd prolly tell people I know who still play when comes out though.

It feels almost exactly like the original DotA once you get used to the new buying and graphics.

Not sure about keys, but there are waves of beta invites directly through steam. Those, who get invited, gets 2 extra copies of game which then they can gift to someone.
