Between the first game, the second game, the spinoff games, the currently-running anime, and other stuff, there is quite a bit of Idolm@ster-related stuffs out there.
Is anyone else here keeping tabs on one or more shades of this particular franchise?
(With what happened in last week's episode of the anime, I'mnervouswondering what direction things will go in the upcoming ep.)
Being the mechatard that I am, I first stumbled upon this series through its spinoff Idolmaster Xenoglossia.
I...haven't gone in any further than that, admittedly.

I have Idolm@ster 2's PS3 Limited Edition, and I'm buying every G4U! combo.
After a lot of arguing, I was convinced to watch the anime. At first I did so against my will and in a foul mood.
I've grown rather fond of it though.
I love Makoto and Takane.
My only experience with im@s is the PSP versions of the games. I never really managed to complete them without massively fucking up. Maybe I should watch the anime sometime.

I dunno if it's just me, but it seems like Ritsuko can suddenly lose several years in age when she switches from her producer outfit to her idol outfit.

He probably only knows her from the anime. You must accept that you are eternally cursed to meet people who only know a property by it's adaptations and spin offs ala Touhou.
Funny story, someone gave me dirty looks when I was talking about how Touhou vampires work because he automatically associated it solely with the fanbase created material. It took a few minutes for him to get what I meant by "I know about it because I have played the games."
