Ooh, homunculus introduction. Also sweet exposition and mechanics stuff from the Ygdd.

So anyway, the Masters can see the stats of any Servant even if it's some photo or a video?

    That's awful convenient.

It's pretty much always been the case, aside from the Noble Phantasms.

For example, most of the 4th War Masters were able to know the parameters of almost every Servants (bar Berserker and Caster who was absent) after the first day by watching either through familiars or Assassin.

I thought that was only for the stats, not the personal skills, though... maybe Darius used these years to upgrade his master-sight/analyze as well.

Homunculus seems to be set up as the second/third main-mainchar, and he seems to be about to ensue some awesome. Interesting. Hope we get a proper name for him some time.

Well Assassin made sense 'cos Kirei was using Assassin's eyes like his own.
Waver's familiar was like that too.

But watching it on Home Theater screen with some butter popcorn? ._.

I dunno why you persecute casual people. Holy Grail War is not only for elitists who have the power to step on the battlefield you know?

Thats what Kerry did; strapped cameras on the familiars and watched it on video.

I like to think that they watched Assassin's fail with the whole family, laughing merrily and Saber moping because Kerry will not let her have the popcorn while still ignoring her.

Seems a bit off to me though. Disdain is perfectly understandable, but to be bewildered at the idea that people use magecraft for money just sounds really weird.

Not when you think about how it is mostly the opposite. The Tohsaka's burn money like charcoal for their magic in form of gems, never used it to gain money, and they ar elike a small backwater family of upstarts.

Some magi don't understand the concept of television.

You think someone could be utterly shocked at the revelation that magecraft can be used to make money?

Nothing like some good, old-fashioned magi elitism.

And the magical movie machine cracked me up.

This is a common occurrence in a Grail War. Comes with bringing dead heroes to fight for you.

I am of the personal belief that the Tsukihime Remake is two years from release. It will remain as such until a release date is announced, at which time its actual release date is 6 months after that date.

    that seems strange though

you arent seeing the servants but just some electronic representations

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.

But they still had made their fortune from their magic patents or something so clearly they understand the idea of using magecraft as a means for monetary gain.

Homunculus gains sentience, wonder if that was enough for Roche to spare him from being turned into golem parts.

I like the minor detail of how Siegfried goes "Yeah, i could take her, easy."

Too bad he will die before the end of volume 1.

Also the mystery of Shiroumine is growing thicker. Apparently the Church don't even know who he is.
