    My point still stands that he defeated 5 of them once and had to not kill Arjuna because the sun went down (which goes against the Laws of war or something like that). The second time he basically gave up because he found out who Arjuna was.

    If Ea was crafted by a God, Gil would hate it, and he would not go "I will only use this sword on those who are worth it", but instead go "I HATE HATE HATE this sword and will only use it as a last resort."

    Maybe that's why he holds Enkidu (the chain) in higher regard?

    Also as far as I can speculate he doesn't hate "The Gods" (Hell, he even tries to become one himself) as whole, he just has a personal beef with some of them, namely Ishtar and her daddy (name is slipping from me).

    What are you talking about, he never tried becoming a God, he just tried to become immortal because he saw how easily the gods could kill his best buddy who was just as strong as he was.
    Which is also why he does, indeed, hate "the gods" as a whole. Because the gods as a whole where who decided to kill Enkidu.
    Well also Nasuverse Gil has a few more reasons to hate them due to his whole "beeing the keystone" and his whole "beeing made to repress humanity but decide to rebel and do the exact opposite, leading humanity against the gods"-schtick.

    He did try to become a god; He simply failed on the first step, which was to stay awake for 7 days without sleep. The quest for the Herb of Immortality was simply his backup plan.

    That might be interpretable for the original myth Gilgamesh, but for Nasuverse Gilgamesh its a load of baloney. Because we know for a fact that Nasuverse Gil hates the gods and led humanity to rebel against them.

    Yes, the sunset indicates the end of the Day but before that, Karna used his Nagastra on Arjuna which is a sure-hit but Krishna, le troll God, steps on the chariot and lowers the surrounding ground making the astra hit Arjuna's crown instead.

    As for the loss of will part, it was like that from when the war began. Krishna, le troll God, tells Karna the truth AFTER war has been decided as the deciding factor, to eliminate his hatred for Arjuna, his own younger brother.

    God, Krishna sounds like an ultra dingus. Was he the one who gave Arjuna plot arm-I mean Divine protection to resist Karna's universe-shaking blows?

    Yep. Krishna knew who Karna was from the VERY beginning (God duh -.-) but reveals it to him when? AFTER War is decided as the final judge.

    xD

    Krishna = Arjuna's best friend/mentor.
    Indra (God of Thunder) = Arjuna's Father.

    Well, you were partially right. Indra cheated a lot. His actions are 70% responsible for Karna's death. >:/

    Uhhh.. i dunno, im not sure if i even admired any hero as a kid... i liked Siegfried and Ali baba a lot i guess. Although i did not really admire them. A figure i admired as kid was Tom Tailor. You know, the one from the story where he sells his laughter to the devil and goes on a journey to get it back.

    Its a more modern story. I know there was a book of it, and as akid i watched a cartoon based on it. Its about a boy who sold his laughter to the devil, who wanted it because the boy had such a pure laughter that anyone would trust him. So the devil aquired the boy's laughter to get trusted by everyone too, which helped him in getting more practical contracts in. And the boy went on a journey to get his laughter back. i forgot the finer details of the story though, like what he sold it for.
