I don't feel confident that I can describe such an awesome fic in my own words, so I'll just copy paste the summary from TvTropes.

A Deconstruction of the Self Insert fic, Sleeping With The Girls is about a normal guy (albeit one who's been through boot camp) being thrust into various fictional worlds by an unusual mechanism: He 'jumps' to each world the moment he falls asleep, and he wakes up in the same bed as a female character. Naturally, Hilarity Ensues.

And before you ask, no. There has not been a single sex scene. The title is just like that.

In my opinion, this is the best Self Insert fic I've ever read, and it's the gold standard to which I compare other Self Insert fics.
So it's just a pile of troupes en lieu of a story.

    Title: The Dilgar War

    By: Lord of Misrule

Synopsis: It was the event that started it all. Thirty years before Babylon 5 the Dilgar race launched an Invasion of League space, a war which would cost Billions of lives, whole races destroyed and at the end give birth to a new super power The Earth Alliance

    Excerpt:
"Such fragile pride." She sighed. "I will help you with your quest for power Alyt Neroon, and I ask you to remember my help because there is a price, a favour for the future." She smiled widely. "Besides, its been a while since I told my story to another, I rather look forward to it."

Neroon remained in his chair, it seemed he would have to endure her posing and hot air to get the information he needed, it was however a small sacrifice. "Very well, where shall we start?"
"Right at the beginning." She answered. "You want to know how the humans won the Dilgar war, then you must understand everything about that time. Can I offer you a drink?"
He sneered at the offer, to which she smiled mischievously.

Replacing the glass Jha'dur, Deathwalker, last survivor of the Dilgar race began to weave her tale…

    Title: The Last Star

    By: Lord of Misrule

Synopsis: The Minbari war is approaching its end and Earth Alliance prepares for a final stand on Proxima III, the Last Star before Earth itself.

    Excerpt:
"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Seventh Fleet, I trust this feast was to your liking?" Denisov began.
A roar of cheers and a banging of palms on tables signalled in the affirmative.
"Glad to hear it!" Denisov laughed. "And thanks to Dan here for the drink, thorn in my side though he is, at least he's an efficient thorn!"
"With good taste in booze!" An unknown voice called to much amusement.
"Though I'm beginning to suspect he siphoned it from the reactor of a Starfury!" Denisov joked, drawing a raised glass from his aide.

"Many different paths have brought us here." Denisov said more seriously. "I look around and I see faces I recognise from the Dilgar war, some from graduation ceremonies between wars, some from the early part of this conflict. Many of you I am meeting for the first time, officers promoted and transferred from other fleets, some of you selected from the academy command programme."

The Command programme was a reflection or the hard times the EA was facing, with some five percent of academy graduates being posted to command positions without any experience beyond their test scores. They were usually assigned escort ships or rookie squadrons of fighters, and unsurprisingly their life expectancy was alarmingly short even by this war's standards.
"You all started in different places, followed different paths, but they all met here. You all represent different corners of the Alliance, from every colony world we own, free or occupied. You stand…" he smiled. "You sit here as a true cross section of Earth Force, of humanity itself. Different, unique, individual, yet united."

"It is in this unity we gain strength. Our purpose gives us courage, for it is a war to defend all we know and hold higher than life or death. It is through our diversity that we gain knowledge, many different ideas and viewpoints combining to offer a reasoned plan of action. It is then in our courage that we, and all of humanity, gains hope.

"No one can guarantee a victory for us, no one knows if we will stand or fall, live or die in the face of this great test. It does not matter. What matters is that we set an example, that we show the people back home, and the Minbari, and everyone else that we are not beaten! Every battle we fight, every shot we fire is a signal as clear as the sun that we will not abandon our homes and families to destruction! Every life we take is one less Minbari to stare hatefully at Earth and one less target for our brothers and sisters to worry about in future battles.

"Our goal fellow officers is very simply to kill as many Minbari as possible. Nothing else matters. We must face unconquerable odds, make super human efforts and sacrifice the greatest gifts we have to battle this enemy without even the certainty of final victory to ease our minds."

    Denisov held his head high.

"But what choice do we have? We have tried to negotiate, to reason with the Minbari. We have pleaded with them, even begged for mercy. We have offered unconditional surrender and yet all our words have fallen on deaf ears. So much death, so much slaughter, and for what? For one life, for one mistake, for one moment of failure. How is that worth the extermination of an entire species down to the last newborn child?

"When we fought the Dilgar it was for clear reasons. They were monsters, murderers and torturers of the highest order. Their cruelty deserved to be punished, the blood of tens of billions of innocent lives stained their hands. Have we committed crimes like that?

"The Dilgar were also invaders and expansionists, a race bent on galactic conquest and domination. Living space, that was their rallying cry, and they would build their new empire on the bones of everyone else. We did not try to conquer the Minbari, we did not send Mass Drivers to obliterate their cities. We have never threatened our neighbours with war or conquest, yet here we stand under attack with no allies.
"We have done nothing to deserve the severity of the war forced upon us. We stand alone in the galaxy facing the avalanche, pushed back to our inner defences. We have not earned this fate, yet it is upon us, so what shall we do?

"If we run they will chase us, if we hide they will hunt us. We cannot move the Earth, we cannot take it upon our shoulders like Atlas and deliver to safety far from here. We can break down and weep, fall to the ground and wail about the injustice of it all, but that only means that when our final time comes it finds us on our knees cringing. Not me, that is not how I will meet my end. We have a choice, it is not a good choice, but it is a choice about whether we meet the Minbari on our feet or on our knees!

"The battle for Proxima will be decided on the ground. Our ships are too few and too ineffective to prevent an invasion. Our goal is to hold the Minbari as long as we can, to buy time for one final evacuation ship to escape, for one last family to seek refuge elsewhere in the Alliance. It isn't much of a grand strategic objective to fight for, but in the final analysis it's what every single one of us signed up to do."
"We did not choose this war, but we can at least choose whether to fight or to give up. We all know what's coming, I wish I could say this feast was simply because you are all good officers and good human beings, but we know that it isn't. None of us will see this again, not in this life at least. I am here because this was my plan, because I am responsible for this strategy and I will not make any man or woman take risks which I myself am not ready to make.

"Earth does not need one more General or strategist, if we lose here nothing will save humanity, not even me. Better an old Captain who can fight a warship here and try to make a difference, than an old General stood on Earth cursing as all turns to darkness. As I said we all have a choice, and mine is to fight.

"the odds are against us, but if by our actions others may live, then so be it. If this is what must be done to ensure the survival of humanity then I will do it gladly with joy in my heart! Let the Minbari come! Let them send their Warriors to this place and we will show them steel and fury!

"We are not a warrior world, we are a people of exploration and curiosity. We are businessmen and artisans, teachers and healers, scholars and adventurers. But today we are soldiers and we will fight better than our enemies who have spent lifetimes building up for this moment. All the calls to duty, all the heritage and meditation the Minbari have is nothing compared to the pure courage of a man or woman defending their home and family. We will show them that, we will show everyone that, and nobody will ever forget what we did here. We did not simply confront death, we fought it tooth and nail, we made it work hard to take us. We have just moments, moments in which we can make a difference. But by our deeds those moments will last for eternity. No one will remember the fact that the Minbari swept us aside, all they will remember is that we never stopped fighting."

[B]Title: The First Movement of the Odyssey

    By: Chris O'Farrell

Synopsis: A new addition to a hopeless war tips in favor of Reach.

Excerpt: Kwassass, closest to the sudden physical reality of the thing appearing in front of him was quite literally frozen with fear and shock even as his packmates did the far more logical thing of running for it. The annoyed chirps of any number of Huragok heading this way filled the air as the screaming from the rest of the Unggoy faded, and he almost distantly studied the cylinder as he fought the urge to curl into a ball and hide, recognizing it as a human device of some kind, with a strange yellow circular icon prominent on its side of three black wedges extending from a black circle in the middle.

Next to it some kind of control panel was glowing, several colored lines rapidly moving from left to right as an evil whine started to build up rapidly, as if mocking the frantic sounds of the Huragok swarming closer, the noise finally shattering the fear that had held his legs frozen as Kwassass spun around screaming and started to run for it-

He would be dead before his foot hit the ground.

When the condition T= 0 was met on three separate atomic clocks, a microprocessor activated inside the outer frame of the Mark IX casing. One of five separate and independent computer systems designed to rapidly failover in the event any of them malfunctioned, the specifications and engineering of Samantha Carter once again proved its worth as the first computer worked without issue, first activating a primitive subspace transponder and squirting a data burst out to the Odyssey's fire control computer to let it know that Armageddon had started.
That done, it sent a burst of energy down two dozen circuits, identical in length, terminating in blocks of high explosives shaped into a perfect interlocking sphere, triggering the detonators placed in each block simultaneously, more than enough to blast the entire casing and the incredibly expensive technology inside into scrap ... except for the fact that events would now move so quickly, even the powerful explosion wouldn't have a faction of the time needed to propagate that far.

Mathematically worked out to the five hundredth decimal point, the shaped charges detonations combined and joined into a uniform wave, pressing mostly inward on the ball of metal placed at the center of the ring, a sphere of Plutonium the size of a tennis ball. High explosives, slow explosives, uranium 'tamper' shielding; all of it worked together like a symphony building to a perfect crescendo, smashing the ball of metal from every direction with equal force, leaving it no room to try and distort, warp or deform. Compressed into a smaller and smaller space, atoms were pressed closer and closer together until finally, and inevitably-

    Fission.

It would be impossible to say for sure where it started, but eventually a neutron wandered by a Plutonium atom. The Strong Nuclear Force invited it in and, in return, the neutron wrecked the place, destabilizing the dance in its electron shell until finally, the entire atom was 'split', releasing Gamma Radiation, among other types of energy ... and two to three more neutrons.

Those liberated Neutrons in turn easily found a number of atomic house parties of their own to crash, releasing another two to three new home wreckers each and so on; an uncontrolled chain reaction impossible to stop underway even as the sphere continued to be squeezed into a tighter and tighter space that made it increasingly impossible for the rapidly growing storm of Neutrons to miss hitting their targets, even if they had wanted to.

Vastly faster than any living being could perceive, the reaction increased rapidly, doubling again and again as the yield as the energy released from the fissile chain reaction started to push back against the forces trying to squish it together from the outside, first matching and then ridiculouslyexceeding the force that had compressed it inwards, the heavy Uranium 'tamper' holding it together for just that many more nanoseconds to inflate the yield, which continued to grow as it raced past that of the crude bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
But for this weapon, yields measured in kilotons were nothing more than the spark plug, for the real bomb was still patiently waiting a third of a meter away.

Nanoseconds after the first fission had taken place, an increasing wave of Gamma Rays, X-Rays and Neutrons from the reaction had spread out spherically from the core. In conventional multi-stage fusion bomb designs, the massive energy release would then be manipulated carefully to induce the main fusion reaction in a 'secondary' device, releasing hundreds of times more energy than the initial fission reaction alone could do, generally fusing lithium-6 into heavier tritium atoms and releasing vastly more energy in the process.

Between the 'sparkplug' of the primary fission bomb and its secondary component in this bomb however, was a cone shaped plate of Beryllium. 'Transparent' to X-Rays but a Neutron deflector, the plate survived only for a matter of a few more nanoseconds before the massive explosion of gamma rays from the rapidly expanding initiation vaporized it, but it served its purpose by 'turning back' the first wave of the liberated neutrons that would otherwise have impacted the secondary and started the reaction prematurely. Behind the Beryllium in turn was a shaped energy field, essentially a primitive Goa'uld forcefield that inverted the shielding effect the Beryllium had provided, allowing Neutrons through while deflecting the massive burst of Gamma and X-Ray radiation away. With limited power it would not last for long, but given the speed of the reaction, it didn't need to either.

Combined together, the Beryllium and the Forcefield effectivly shielded the Secondary unit from the intial burst of energy just long enough, so that when the wave of Neutrons liberated from the primary at the height of its fission reaction arrived, it was not a small trickle slowly increasing, but a massive hammer blow. The secondary itself was a plate, concave in shape, the curve matching that of the plutonium ball to ensure that it was bombarded evenly by the spherical explosion of energy...

And it was made of Naquadriah.

Naquadahs incredibly unstable and energetic brother in law, Naquadriah could be induced to release a lot of its energy quite easily, barely even needing an invitation to do so in fact, seeming to reach super-criticality at the drop of a hat, as Daniel Jackson had found out to his misfortune many years ago.
But this was something else entirely. Gatecrashed by an utterly obscene number of neutrons without warning, what had been a ten kiloton detonation from the primary triggered a release of energy tens of millions of times larger, the entire process taking place before either Kwassass or any of the Huragok floating in and huffing in annoyance could even perceive that they were dead, leaving in place of the Mark IX only energy.
Energy sufficient to vaporize a Stargate that did not care about how it had been brought into existence or the universe it was in; seeking only to expand from its incredibly compressed state until it reached equilibrium.

And to hell with any Grunts, Engineers, Prophets, Ships or Dogma in its way.

I could probably dig up at least a dozen or so fics I consider really worthwhile reading, but I'll restrain myself and stop at one.

Category: Crossover(Lord of the Rings and The Black Company)
Title: The Black Company in Middle Earth
    By: McJunker

Synopsis: In those days, the Company was in service to the Eye of Barad-dur. . .

Comments: So Sauron decides to hire some elite mercenaries. Knowledge of Glen Cook's Black Company series is in no way required.

    Excerpt:
In those days the Company was in service to the Eye of Barad-dur, the Dark Lord of Mordor. I'll never understand why these raving sorcerous overlord types give themselves names like "Bloodfang the Foul," or "Lord Slaughter," or whatever. It can't possibly earn them universal acceptance. If I was an emperor, I would call myself "Lord Galadel the Kind," or something like that. No one could object to being ruled by someone named that. Then I could rule my conquests with an iron fist and no one would revolt. Think about it- would you rebel against someone named "Galadel the Kind"? You'd feel ridiculous.

Heh. The Old man didn't want me to be Annalist at first- he said I didn't take it seriously enough. I take it seriously, right?

Anyway. The way it is is, the Dark Lord of Barad-dur... gods, even I feel like taking up arms against him with a name like that, and he's paying my wages.

The general situation is, the Lidless Eye has himself a cozy little stronghold- a fair sized chunk of land with fuck off huge mountain ranges three quarters the way around it, with real strong fortresses at the only two entrances. No one gets in to Mordor, no one gets out of Mordor, lest he says so. He's got himself a lovely little homebase that ain't no one's gonna get him out of, but that's not enough for him, no sir. Being content with what you got is not a speciality of the really high-class sorcerors. They always gotta to expand and dominate, and the only ways he has to advance is north into a swamp with the lovely and inviting name of the Dead Marshes (I don't even want to know how it got that name), or west across a well-defended river to a country called Gondor. And Gondor supposedly has the most professional army in this part of the world, ourselves excluded, obviously. Nobody's better than the Black Company. Always outnumbered but never outfought, that's us. Obviously, if the Eye of Barad-dur wants to break out of his homeland and get into the really serious business of world conquest, Gondor needs to bite the dust first. To force-feed the Gondorians some of that fine gourmet dust, he needs an ass-kicking army. And if you need your army to kick some ass and take some names, you come to us.

My name is Haroun, the Annalist of the Black Company. Haroun's not the name I was born with, but then, ain't no one goes by their real name in this outfit. It's my job to chronicle the life of the Company. If we take someone on, I record his name. When a brother falls in battle, I record his death. For most of us, it is the only immortality we have to look forward to, since few if any of us have a use for religion. I maintain the written records, keep the history of the Black Company alive, and forge another link in a chain that reaches so far back into history that I kinda think that there never was no time when the Company wasn't swapping violence for cash. You go back to the old days, the mythological times where djinni and gods first shot the shit and formed the world according to their fancy, I bet you'll find our forerunners agreeing to slit some devil's throat in exchange for a pot of enchanted gold.

It is an indisputable fact that our Annals, which I gotta haul personally everywhere we march, go back 750 years, and it's stated in the earliest Annals we got that we lost at least two hundred years worth of history that came before it. If my Company doesn't go back at least a millenium, it will likely cross that milestone in my lifetime. Show me a dynasty with a lineage like that, I tell you. When you march in the Company, brother, you stand on the shoulders of giants. We stand six hundred strong and are better armed and provisioned than any other standing army in the part of the world. We are elite, we are dedicated, we got esprit right up the corps. And we'll serve any warlord you care to name if the price is right and he don't try to backstab us.

The Dark Lord of Mordor has purchased our service, and we shall serve him faithfully until our contract of five years is up or he welches on us. Which is why, today, we're seeing action for the first time in two years. Lack of proper employment has not dulled our swords, nor worn our crossbows' strings. We have spent the unending months sweating our weakness away under the merciless gaze of Bullet, our Sergeant. Bullet is as close you can get to a dwarf without actually being a dwarf, standing about 5' 3" and weighing at least two hundred and thirty pounds armed and armored- I've seen him single-handedly break down shieldwalls by swatting aside the enemy spears and shoulder charging the poor bastards behind them. He's got this intimidating huge black beard obscuring most of face, and tiny little eyes that always seem to be glaring at you, even when he's in a good mood. You know where you stand with Bullet. He was a senior brother in the Company when I joined up eight years ago- a veteran's veteran. With him keeping us whipped into shape, we'll be fit for any battle the Lidless Eye cares to throw our way.

The play is done; the curtain drops,
    Slow falling to the prompter's bell;
A moment yet the actor stops
And looks around to say farewell.
It is an irksome word and task...

    Title: Infinity
    Author: Moczo

Synopsis: The Book of Darkness case is over, giving Nanoha and company some much-needed rest. But the peace ends abruptly as a pair of unknown mages descend on Earth, seeking a lost artifact and reigniting an ancient conflict. It's time to save the world again...

Additional comments: Whether you like the story or not, you really can't call yourself a fan of MGLN until you've read this one. It's one of the big, ongoing stories and one of the few the fandom still produces.

And I'm trying to think of a decent excerpt to show off the story but really, it's so long and it has so many amazing moments that any one I choose I feel wouldn't do it justice. So here, have its trope page instead.

Category: Mass Effect (specifically Mass Effect 1)
    Title:Accidental_Hero_of_the_Galaxy
    By: Random Equinox
Synopsis: Commander Shepard. Hero of the Skyllian Blitz. First human Spectre. Potential savior of humanity and the known galaxy. Pity no one asked him what HE thought of all this.
Comments: If you're familiar with the Ciaphas Cain series set in the Warhammer 40K universe then you're gonna be familiar with this. For those not in the know, the author does a great introduction that goes into detail what this entails on the first chapter. Written in a diary/memoir style with footnotes from Anderson, it's my favorite Mass Effect fic. if you like this RE has already started work on a sequel.
    Excerpt:

Everyone always asks me "What does it feel like, being the Hero of the Skyllian Blitz?"(1) And every time, I'm tempted to tell them what I really feel like: one big, embarrassed fraud.

I didn't ask to have my face broadcasted across the extranet. I didn't ask to have schools, parks and museums named after me. And I sure as hell did not ask to have that God-awful nine-foot statue of me built in the middle of Kronos for all to see.
It's not like I did anything special. Oh, I know what all the extranet reports and history books say. How I bravely chose to stay behind, eager to defend a colony of humanity from the depredations of filthy slavers. How I cunningly led hundreds of them into an ambush, and then rallied the troops until Alliance reinforcements arrived. The truth is I tried to make it to the starport and get on the last shuttle, missed said shuttle because I got lost, and ran straight into the very slavers I was trying to avoid. In attempting to escape from those less-than-friendly individuals, I somehow led them straight to the garrison of Alliance troops who had the poor luck to get stuck on that godforsaken rock with me. The former, being a little too fixated on doing unmentionable things to me, got wiped out by the latter, who were gullible enough to think I knew what I was doing.

But, of course, I can't say that. Instead, I just put on Hero Smile #1 (Humanity's Best, Bravest and Brightest), and trot out some self-deprecating nonsense about how I couldn't have done it without the brave men and women who fought beside me. Civilians usually lap up that sort of stuff and leave it at that. It's the Alliance that makes it worse. For some reason, the brass felt they should offer a hero of my stature more opportunities to risk, or more likely, lose, my life and limb. Granted, I managed to scrape by without losing too much blood, but that only encouraged the REMFs to send me out on more borderline-suicidal missions, and I knew my luck would only hold so far. (2) So, I did the only sensible thing: use my fame to get myself assigned to a posting that was befitting of the Hero of the Skyllian Blitz, while having the highest chance of keeping my hide safe and sound.

After much research, the SSV Normandy seemed to meet all of my criteria. It was a prototype frigate, just the sort of thing an up-and-coming hero might be attracted to. (3) It was slated for solo missions deep within enemy space, which would support the danger-seeking reputation I'd found myself saddled with. Most importantly, given the risks inherent with intentionally sneaking through hostile territory, it had cutting-edge stealth technology and was designed for reconnaissance and intelligence gathering. In other words, even in the worst-case scenarios, I would only watch any battles from a safe distance, rather than personally getting involved in them. The only battle I'd have to face was the battle with all that paperwork. (4) Even better, it was just about to go on its shakedown run to some sleepy little colony on Eden Prime, which meant I'd have even less work to do.

So I sent in my application, confident that I'd found the perfect solution to all those delusional higher-ups who thought I had some sort of death wish and were all too willing to help me meet it.
In hindsight, that proved to be the biggest mistake of my life.

    Spoilered for your convenience

    Category: Fire Emblem
Title: Ike vs. the Fourth Wall
Author: Moczo (Not this Moczo, it's his sister I think. They share an FF.net account)
Synopsis: One of the greatest Fire Emblem crack fics I have ever read. Makes endless fun of the various eccentricities of the Tellius Saga's characters and situations as well as the game mechanics. Ike and Soren are the funniest characters, though.

    *raises hand*
Do fan-made webcomics (based on something, not original of course) count as fanfiction to be recommended here or it has to be book-like written stories?

Don't see why not. Go ahead.
McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.

    'Kay, recommending some things then.

    Category: Pokémon
    Title: Living in the Moment
    By: FirebirdXoX
Synopsis: "Second chances often come in the form of rebirth. Some consider it a blessing, others a curse, but I personally think its just an excuse for the legendaries to screw with you. Either way, I'm going to live in the moment. Rated M for a lot of cussing." - FF.net summary
A Pokémon reborn fic (no, this is NOT a crossover with a certain series named Something Reborn [sorry, I did not watch/read it, just know that it is somewhat famous]). To clarify, reborn fics are sub-genres of the Pokémon fanfictions which deal with humans reborn as Pokémon. In this particular story for example, they can retain all of their memories from when they were human but for some reason forgot how to read and/or write. When looking at the eyes of another 'reborn' they see a flashback from each other's death.
Now, back to the plot: it tells the story of Daniel, who died and was reborn as a Poochyena thanks to Mew and is now the starter of his former friend/love interest Kelly. Despite the fact Daniel is a Poochyena the story takes place in Sinnoh rather than Hoenn.
Comments: The setting may seem cliched at first, but the first chapters don't do justice to this story. After you get past the first chapter and reach the second, you won't be able to stop. This fic is the perfect example of how an author's writting skills evolve over time. Yet, the fic was last updated in 01/14. But it is only in a hiatus and the author is still pretty active in FF.net, just not in the writting side. It is one of my favorite Pokémon fics and I eargerly wait for an update every single day.

    Title: Black Adventures
By: Black (who is called artist!Black by the fans to make it clear if they are referencing the author or the main character)
Synopsis: "Pokémon Black/White as a magical boy genre" - Summary by the artist
A webcomic that, well, tells the story of Pokémon Black/White as a magical boy story. It started with people doing random brainstorming that got compilated in a completly random nonsense webcomic by an author, but later on it somehow gained a plot. The 'plot' tells the adventures Black as he goes around the Unova region trying to win the league, with MissingNo as his starter and accompained by N. While not Boys' Love/shounen-ai/yaoi, the story has a lot of gay humor, mostly revolving around crossdressing and N's obsession with Black. The first three chapter don't make sense at all because the artist was giving birth to the ideas of commenters, but from episode 3 onwards it has a rather solid and non-nonsense (is that even a word?) plot.
Comments: I love this comic to death. Really love it. The first three chapters (especially the first one) laugh at the word 'sense', but if you can endure it you'll be drawn in one of the best webcomics ever. While the art style may not be the best one, the artist goes over a gradual art evolution becoming actually quite good. Of course, the artist doesn't try to draw things 'standart animu-style' or realistically except in very special scenes (think about it like a special CG in a Visual Novel). The following excerpt shall give you an idea of that.
    Excerpt:

Hey let's check what other stuff Verg writes than random Type-Moon stuff. Those who don't care for the fandom can shut up. We want no argument here.

    Anyways.
