Either you suck at video games or I'm better than I thought, because I only died once in Skyward Swords, and it was to the last boss, and I didn't have any potions or fairies on me when I did it.

And the water dungeons aren't difficult. They're just tedious. Exceptionally, ballbustingly tedious.

Let's look at this another way Spinach, the games are being played from Link's point of view right? If we as Link's player see the enemy as predictable, then technically Link does as well...likewise if you find an enemy as frustrating, then so does Link.

Of course we see everything from the Third person omniscient in an obscenely removed way. It would likely be much much harder if it was first person and all.

plus its a whole lot easier to concentrate and notice whatever the trick is, when you are relaxing in your easy chair as opposed to staring up at some giant 18 foot tall spider or whatever barreling toward with death in its eyes. course that goes back into his bravery, which a rare occasion where an A+ skill was actually warranted as opposed to fanwank, triforce of courage and all.

Okay, let's make a base. Smartest (prodigy) person we know is Rin, or maybe Kayneth(Yes, he's hailed as a prodigy). what score does that give them? A? A+?

Shirou and Sakura have normal-ish intelligence. Would that qualify for B, or C?

What level of intelligence would give him rank E? A child, or a person with mental disabilities?

This has potential, and therefore must be discussed and fleshed out.

Well. Considering that C means that you can map out how a supersonic fight will happen, while you are in said fight. C is pretty high up there. That and Archer did a whole lot of planning on UBW.

Charisma B is enough to rule a Nation. So we could make the leap of logic and say that EotM(T):B could mean that you have the ability to map out a battle between Armadas.

So I'd say that Rin with her intellect and talent would give a bonus and grant a solid B.

Shirou and Sakura with a normal intelligence would just not give a bonus to the Heroic Spirit, and so it would remain at C

Someone of bellow average intellect like Shinji (I am not bashing on the guy. But you would think that he would have noticed that Gil was most certainly not under his control, or that he was in waaaaayyyy over his head). Would give a handicap and drop it to D.

Someone with mental disabilities would likely be a big enough handicap to drop it to E.

I don't. For one, it breaks the fourth wall for no good reason; and for another, you could say this about almost any video game character ever. It's ridiculous.

I'm just saying what qsurf said was actually a pretty solid point, and I have not seen it implemented before. Besides we know for a fact that different masters will affect a Servants stats differently. Saber under Kiritsugu had her best physical stats but her Luck dropped, under Shirou she had lower physical stats but her luck rose. And under Rin she had access to her stats while she lived.

Another example is Herc, he had access to four personal skills due to Illya's insane Odic capacity.

I don't see why a Master's intellect could not affect Links EotM skill, when in truth it would vary from person to person depending on who is controlling him.

Ridiculous as in ‘utterly unfeasible’ I will grant. If you are going to consider the master for one stat they you should consider the master for all stats.
Link, or any other Servant, under Shirou or Shinji would be drastically different than when under Rin or Ilya.

Just curious, what's everyone's opinion on 'turns self into vehicle/mount, qualifies as Rider'? Because I wanted to write up Terui/Kamen Rider Accel, and I was debating whether to put him under Saber or Rider.

iunno...rider's are servant's who bolster their weaker abilities with their mounts....I mean, part of me just says relax, its not a big deal, but TBH it does seem something of a violation of the class.

Terui is pretty much standard-issue Saber more than he is Rider, honestly- the asskicking is what's emphasized, not the bike henshin. That and honestly, he'd make an amusing Avenger.

I don't know about that...Saber's skills have been switched up as she changed Masters.

Skills can be switched up, and I'm guessing it's mostly to do with the Master's summoning preparations / condition.

technically it was implied a large enough prana supply would eliminate adverse effects from the master's way of life.

...though, thinking about it, considering gil was still stronger in Zero despite years of stockpiled kid prana and rider's luck diminishing under dark sakura, thats debatable.
