I doubt there are any incarnated Heroic Spirits that can survive a beam with 10-30 times greater energy yield than the Hiroshima nuke coming every 4 seconds or so.

Then there's Gilgamesh soloing Reapers when in actuality all they have to do is train all their weapons on him and fire, that would deal with him fairly easily.

Gil's spaceship is way faster than anything in Mass Effect.

Wasn't the reason for the stomp the fact that machines have literally no defense against conceptual weapons like Caladbolg twisting space with no regard for what is inside or Gil and his endless armory with such weapons. Even then there were many heroes who still couldn't do shit and had to deal with the minions like poor Jeane.

Yeah, I have no qualms about Reapers having no conceptual defense and falling to such attacks, but unless your opponent is incompetent surprise attacks can only go so far.

Well, as a general rule Sci-Fi does beat fantasy, simply because Sci-Fi is often about 'layzorz IN SPACE' and everything gets pushed up in scale.

But if you took say, I-Robot and pitted it against the Riftwar Saga... well, I know who I'd bet on.

1) totally true, that's why the Turian were able to down 20-30 reaper ships with a surprise attack(with heavy lossess) but no more.

I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about. If it's something ME specific, I know the games mostly through friends ranting on Facebook.

The Reapers are in space and have effectively unlimited ammo.

I don't think you guys quite understand what I was saying. I'm not saying she could damage a Reaper; maybe she could, I don't know what Excalibur actually shoots or what a ME field will block. I'm just saying that, once she's buried under whatever TSB has her hypothetically buried under, Excalibur should be able to dig her out pretty handily.

And if you're going to wank to the 'age of the mystery' or the 'hopes and dreams of humanity' or somesuch, Reapers are 5 x 10^4 * x years old, where x is an integer from 1 to $TEXAS, and each is the distilled essence of an interstellar civilization.
