I was told to come here by the people over at the Typemoon Fanfiction idea thread... I am not looking like a eight year old with a skimmed knee. Anyway, copy, paste, edit, post.
I've had this Fate-Stay Night/ Bleach idea for a while. I even did a trailer for it a while back but I could never really get it off the ground. I blame it on two things, one my lack of Type-Moon knowledge when I came up with it and two, trying to iron out all the differences between the series.
The basic idea is that after the Good UBW route Rin, Shirou and Saber live a relatively happy life together. But soon Saber's existence was being more forcibly rejected by Gaia. Whether there is nothing they can do or Saber breaks the contract because it was hurting Rin I can't decide.
Anyway, after a prologue explaining that happens the rest of the Story involves the remainder of the threesome to storm Soul Society to get her back.
Soul Society acts as a safe haven for human souls before they can return to the Root/Akasha. A place safe from Gaia and it's corruption, aka Hollows. Creatures close to demons made to kill and consume their former loved ones before moving on to the rest of the species.
Shingami/Death Gods/Soul Reapers are beings similar to Counter Guardians that are tasked by Alaya to purify the Hollows back into human souls and collect other wayward spirits for Soul Society.
Basically the war between the Hollows and Shingami is another pissing match between Alaya and Gaia. Also what Aizen most likely saw when he caught a glimpse of the Soul King was most likely Alaya itself.
Most Magi consider Soul Society to be a false lead in the search for the Root. A dead end of sorts since it is a waiting station for the dead to truly move on. Though many believe that it is there where the Throne of Heroes rest.
Also Shriou can trace Zanpakutou but they will all be mere physical copies for the most part. Zanpakutou in theory are close to reality marbles being wielded as swords, a manifestation of their inner world's power. Unless he can truly understand how his opponent thinks he won't even be able to make a mediocre copy of the weapon. It's like he's trying to trace a real sword but ends up with one made out of wood.
Please tell me what you think and any ideas/suggestions are welcomed.

So, Soul Society= Throne of Heroes?
I don't think crazy old pyro would enjoy having his people taken because someone wants a magic wish. Also, if he knew Mages existed he would probably commission a war against them. (blah blah blah they're killing the planet blah blah genocide)
Better have the Throne as the King's Dimension and the CF as part of the Zero Division/Royal Guard (it means that, if Shirou and Rin WILL be able to storm the King's DImension, there will be ANOTHER match Shirou Vs EMIYA/Archer!!!!).
As for the Magi Mattias, what they do is not against the cycle of reincarnations (the only things that truly matter for Soul Society), so Old Man Yamamoto will not order a war againts them (apart the one that TRULY go around causing problems for souls).
This, of course, IMHO.

Huh, guess that wasn't clear enough in the idea. The Throne of Heroes is like a separate dimension that has a gateway within the Soul Society.

I could see it given that if he were in Hiro's positions at the beginning of the series he would've thrown his life away to "save' Hime's in a heartbeat. Though the idea of him going into a whole Blood Warrior berserker trance with blades growing out of his flesh as he relentlessly pursues his enemies is just as scary as it is awesome, doubly so if he's been turned into a Flame Warrior.
I see him getting along well with Riza too.
