You thought this was going to be like Alice in Wonderland, didn’t you? You thought that you would go on a mystical adventure with strange creatures and everything would end well with a happy ending didn’t you? You almost forgot that this… this isn’t a fairy tale; this is the horrible universe of Kinoko Nasu. As you fell, things… things didn’t end up how Alice in Wonderland did.
You could hear it… the screaming scratching at your ear drums, causing you to twitch uncontrollably. You realized it was Rin, she was screaming for her dear life, too afraid to let go. Let go? Of what?

She was holding on to you. But when did she become herself and you become someone else? No, that’s not right, you fell into your mind again. Or are you within your mind within your mind?
Whatever the case, when you came to, you were in the middle of a forest.
It was a simple, empty clearing…
The grass was green…
The sun was in the sky…
The birds were chirping freely…
It was all so very surreal, appearing like an ideal world. At the center of the clearing was a single pedestal. Something inside you wanted to scream that none of this made any sense. Oh, wait, it’s just little Rin.
There were pieces of paper scattered everywhere. Each one of them seemed like a little book onto themselves. For some reason, you felt compelled to pick each piece up. So you worked and worked, stacking them neatly and organizing them by pages…
Strangely enough, the moment you stacked all of them together, they bound themselves into a book. The cover was rough, and some of the pages seem… thinner… than others. When you flipped through the pages however, you saw…
…nothing.
Puzzled, you turned the pages more slowly. Only the first page seemed to be made out of quality paper; the rest felt like rice paper. When you flipped back to the first page, you saw some symbols on it. There were four pictures in various details. They were arcane things… things that you didn’t quite understand, but understood completely. As if these symbols that comprised of each drawing was an universal language that could convey anything to anyone.
There were three other pictures made from symbols too, but they were… white? Etched in? You could only see am imprint, but no real ink that colored anything in. These images were barely recognizable…
Suddenly, the page flipped, and you found yourself drawing inside the second page a…:
