So Famitsu dropped a couple more screenshots but this one is what I wanted to focus on in particular as it raises an interesting question.
It's a picture of the main character Takuma shouting out to a person who is hiding, telling them everything's okay now and they can come out...Yes, that's right. Our MC apparently isn't mute as he seemingly has dialogue if this screenshot is anything to go by. Veeeeeeery interesting if so as it'd be quite a change from the majority of previous Digimon games.

Several updates courtesy of the Thanksgiving livestream:
First off, the debute trailer for Survive. Nothing terribly new that we haven't already seen in screenshots.
More importantly is the five minutes of gameplay they showed of the game.
There were other things announced like Frontier getting a Blu-Ray rerelease and a Digimkn escape room. But Survive was the main thing.

Now that the "Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition" is out they've started drip feeding us a bit more info on Survive finally.
This is background to the plot that appeared in Famitsu:
Also, the animated intro was posted a while back in the Videogame News thread but here it is again for anyone that may have missed it~The group in the intro are part of a multi-school extracurricular camping trip that studies history. Takuma Momozuka's group consists of his friend Minoru Hyuuga and Aoi Shibuya, who is one year older than the boys and from a different school.
They decide their project will be on "Kemonogami" (Beast God), which is a local-based-only religion, and visit the shrine that holds its rituals. The legend of the Beast God goes as far as the Kamakura period. A powerful clan that lived back in those days borrowed the power of a god, who lived in the mountains and was similar in appearance to a beast, to gain wealth, which earned its wrath so the clan was annihilated.
The locals were so afraid of the Beast God's anger that they gave their children to it as a ritual peace offering. Although this all happened long ago, whenever children enter the shrine that was used for this ritual even to this day, it's said that those children are spirited away.
On the morning of the 2nd day at their camp, the phenomenon approaches and Takuma, Minoru, and Aoi end up wandering into the world of this fading legend...
I'm very excited for it.

Synopsis sounds interesting enough. Tbh Im more interested in the VN aspect of this game than the gameplay.

Definitely looking forward to it. Playing ReArise in the meanwhile to scratch that itch. It's... not a bad game, definitely buggy, but reminds me of a mix of the old school DW1 and DW3/World Tournament styles.
Producer Habu gave an interview about the upcoming "Digimon Survive", sharing some candid details about the creation process and some of the mechanics we'll see in the game.
Pretty fascinating stuff~
