It's a V-Pet, now with a bunch of features beyond the simple pedometer that previous models had.



The features of the V-pet are broken into 3 categories:
Pulselink - State of the Digimon (Development and Evolution) change based on your activity.
Touchlink - 'auto battles' are activated by touching to devices equipped with nfc
ApplogLink - Smartphone sync features via an app, including records, missions, raised Digimon, pictures, rankings, etc.

They are also introducing the 'DIM Card' (Digimon Identified Memory), which adds:
Digimon - Data that enables new Digimon to be trained.
Area - New stages for missions, etc.
Graphics - Allows you to customize the look of your Vital Bracelet

As promised, more info about the Vital Bracelet has come out. I'll leave out the nitty gritty for those that aren't interested in actually getting the product, but here's the official art for the mascot - Pulsemon and his "canon" (for lack of a better term) Evolution line.

Now that Booster Set 4 of the TCG has come out, Bandai have revealed the promotional art for Booster Set 5 - "Battle of Omega".

Aside from the Omegamon duo, the silhouetted figures appear to be (on the right) OmegaShoutmon, BanchoLilymon, Cutemon, Jijimon and Hexeblaumon whereas (on the left) we have seemingly Shademon, Algomon, Troopmon, ChaosDukemon and Dorbrickmon.

This year, Last Evolution in theatres and Digimon Adventure: were exciting, and there were a lot of goods, plus the Vital Bracelet was announced, so you can't miss it in 2021!

This is from taken from a recent Toei Financial IR document, under development/deployment for their copyright related business, they are currently expecting "Digimon Survive" to be released in Fall 2021.

Granted this isn't anything remotely akin to Bandai announcing a release date, or even a period, but it does give us knowledge of what Toei expects and is willing to share with their investors of when they expect the game will be out.

For anyone interested in the TCG, they've dropped the Set List for the fifth Booster Set "Battle of Omega" on their official websites including the English one.

As to be expected from that title, a lot of Omegamon and OmegaShoutmon support. But also some cool Xros Wars, Cyber Sleuth and Digimon World 1 tie-ins.

Okay, that trailer for a mere V-Pet was pretty hype not going to lie.



Also, the "Digimon X" V-Pet was announced to be coming to the West this summer. <3

Considering they've already made an English language website for the Asian market it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they have plans to bring it to the west as well. Digimon X could very well be a testing grounds to measure the demand of V-Pets in the west before committing to bringing the VB.

I don't know about that. They've already said that the VB will be mostly in English anyway, so people are importing already.

I would've probably bought mine from Amazon JP already too if shipping from Japan wasn't shut down.

Fair enough. In related news, they've shown off the Evolution Charts for the initial rollout of DiM cards for the Vital Bracelet. Though they have hidden a handful of names of unrevealed Digimon.

Just a note, they've had an English language website for older ones that never came over too. If I recall from when I checked into it like 20 years ago, it was for the Singapore market.

So like, during yesterday's DigiNavi livestream they showed off a new Key Visual for the 2020 Adventure anime that features the heroes with their Partner Megas since we've reached that part of the story and as usual people have triggered the endless debate over what Hikari should have as Tailmon's Mega after seeing who appeared on the poster.

But what passed by a lot of people was a surprise twist hidden in the corner, practically buried underneath arms, legs and some text was a Mega Digimon we definitely were not expecting to see...

So yeah, very excited to see that Digimon making its long awaited animated debut.

We already knew of their existence in the DiM card "Blizzard Fang" thanks to the magazine promo showing off the full lineup, but they've gone and finally given the three mysterious Digimon from that DiM card profiles in the Official Reference Book if anyone was interested...

Hiyarimon

In-Training/No Attribute

A Lesser Digimon that evolved from YukimiBotamon. The once fluffy cilia are gone, and instead the surface of its body is always covered with snow. It lives mostly in snowy mountains, and its body melts when exposed to sunlight, so it is active after sunset. It seems that the bigger the icicle is that hangs from the tip of its beak, the more energized it is.

Its Signature Move is spewing cold breath (Diamond Dust).

Frozomon

Ultimate/Virus

A Machine Digimon that inhabits areas with heavy snowfall and removes snow vigorously. Contrary to its reliable side that rescues those who get lost in snowstorms and the like, it is also a troublesome Digimon who uses all its strength to eliminate those that get in the way of its rescues, even if they are Babies. It is a specialist when it comes to cold regions who is capable of not only removing snow, but also melting ice with its red-hot sword.

Its Special Moves are unleashing a punch attack with its enormous right arm while charging (Removal Blow), and piercing the enemy using heat from the Heat Sword on its left arm (Defrost Blade). In addition, its "Glaciate Missile", in which it shoots ice compacted from the snow that gets sucked in by its propeller, generates huge blocks of ice on impact. It can use this to stop avalanches.

FrosVelgrmon

Mega/Virus

A Giant Bird Digimon that rarely appears before others. It is considered to be a symbol of awe in certain regions, and according to legend, it appears before those who are stranded on snowy mountains and assesses their lives. It is said that those who are deemed worthy of saving are carried down the mountain by Fros Velgrmon, but those who are deemed unworthy will be given a peaceful death with its freezing breath.

Its Special Moves are a ranged attack in which it generates a blizzard with its tail and wings (Innocence Blizzard), and instantly turning the enemy into dry ice with a cold beam fired from its mouth (Freezing Ray). Although its "Ruin Reverb", where it sings with a beautiful cry, charms the listener, it is a song of destruction that causes those who finish listening to it to completely shatter into pieces from within.

If the last of that trio strikes you as somewhat familiar then yes, it is an ice variant of the "Velgrmon" the Beast Spirit of Darkness that appeared in Digimon Frontier...just now an ice peacock instead of a darkness crow. Hiyarimon on the other hand looks to be a way to more cleanly connect YukimiBotamon to the Ice Rookies whereas before it was stuck as being Gatomon's lowest form.

I really like Hiyarimon and FrosVelgrmon. Very good designs.
