The First season was the best, there discussion over.
Joking aside I liked the first four seasons and I haven't watched the new one.
Year 1
Salt Corner
I only really liked the first 2 seasons. I tried to keep up with season 3 and sort failed, and than it dropped off my grid. :/

Xros Wars is alright so far. I'm only like 10 episodes in though.
Adventure was awesome. Adventure 2 was fluctuating constantly. Tamers......I hated at first, what I've seen since has been really good though. Season 4 was terrible. Didn't see like any of season 5.
Tamers is the best season of all time. I'mma letchoo finish, but of all time.
Hope Rides With His Godly Ronin/Cowboy Brother In Law
Hmmm. Liked the first three seasons... I felt like season 4 deviated from the core concept too much. The point was to have a pet/friend to raise and hang out with, with that heavy focus on friendship and being responsible for them.
Kind of lost that with season 4 in favor of a more... Sentai kind of feel. I was like, "Wut? You got your Power Rangers in mah Digimon."

[Sign: Adventure was good but I disliked 02 and Frontier. Tamers and Savers were my favorite seasons. Xros Wars sucked on the first part and the Death Generals arc was awful with lolartstylechangeovermanliness each five minutes more or less, altough Young Hunters is actually very good and I'm enjoying it.
I've been a fan of the franchise since I first saw Adventure and watched all seasons. Manga-wise I read the C'mon Digimon one-shot and Digimon Next. I've played all three PSX and NDS games (I lack a PS2 or a computer able to emulate one).]
You're not missing much with the PS2 games. The season 5 game is a very meh JRPG, and Digimon World 4 is fucking awful. Even worse than 2.
Ugh, I absolutely hated 2. Those graphics, that grinding, those dungeons.......just ugh. Though I did play it much more than 3, I can't figure out why.
*Points to Digimon World 1 and Digimon V-Tamer*
Case closed.
In actuality I like almost all of Digimon... expect the obviously horrible ones.
With Frontier... I like it enough to watch it over a few times for some fun, character development wasn't bad really. (V-Tamer crossover was great)
Saver was awesome for me.
Tamer's grim darkness always edged me near the end... but undoubtably good.
XROS... I don't like it much but I won't rage from it.
02 Is... boring for me.
01 is great!
V-Tamer is probably my favourite though, wish they had the time to actually develop it more like they planned.
1 is still easily my favorite though. Despite the glitches, despite the sometimes maddening way of learning new moves, despite getting Numemon 8,000 times as a child, that game was a fucking blast.
Al liked the first season a lot, but likes tamers the best.
Need to get past episode 11 of Xros Wars.
TV Series:
Adventure 01: pretty fun and nostalgic, though the Dark Masters arc was just boss fights after most of the character development was done.
Adventure 02: one good episode for every 3 bad episodes. not bad considering it's length, but it's also not great.
Tamers: fucking awesome.
Frontier: This shit ain't digimon says butthurt people. But it actually was a decent show.
Savers: DID HE JUST PUNCH A DIGIMON AND IT WORKED?! COOL SHIT, MAN. ...That ending was bullshit.
Xros Wars: man, I always thought that Tamers would never be usurped by any other digimon as a favorite, but here it is. Get past episode 14 and shit hits the fan constantly, though even 1-14 weren't poorly paced in general. Even the Death Generals arc which might be compared to the Dark Masters arc had a substantial amount of character development and new material.
Xros Wars Boy Hunters who Leapt through Time: 1 great episode for every 4-5 completely useless save member grinding episodes. Hopefully it'll pick up the pace a little, since the last episode I saw had orgasmic implications.
Manga:
V-Tamer: awesome. there is no other word.
D-Cyber: pretty good. don't think it surpasses V-tamer, but it's boss in its own way.
Next: man, I would have enjoyed this a lot more if I hadn't already seen Savers. oh well, it's not bad.
Games:
needs more grinding before I can give my critique. overall, fun stories, sometimes shitty interface, sometimes grinding too hard, and always LOL EVOLUTION trees.

Tamers, so good
I like the Digimon World 1 game too. Supposedly the upcoming PSP game is supposed to be similar to it?

Ah, Digimon. This brings some fond memories.
I haven't watched the newest series, though I still
remember the older ones.
Fun Fact: The Latin-American dubs were based on the Japanese
version, but used the names from the US version.
The Japanese theme songs were translated into Spanish, too. Ah, the memories...
*wipes tear*
Adventure was good. I remember eagerly waiting for a new episode each day.
The Myotismon and Dark Masters arc were awesome.
Adventure 02...I don't remember much, but I still liked it.
I liked the concept of fusions, too. Imperialdramon was the best.
BlackWarGreymon was also badass. And his death was...sad.
Although the ending was unexpected. [Myotismon out of nowhere!]
Tamers...boy, that was one of the best seasons. Although as a kid
I got a wee bit confused during the later arcs. Beelzemon was badass, though.
Frontier, unfortunately, I was never able to watch, since Fox Kids (which
aired the series here) was bought and turned into Jetix, which our cable services
didn't have. I only managed to watch until about episode 6.
And Savers just got released here last year. Although thanks to fan-subs and the
internet, I was able to watch some of it. I think it's cool.
After that, I haven't seen much of the rest of the franchise. I do remember playing
Digimon World 2 and Digimon Rumble Arena with my friends from school, though.
Ah, those were the good times. -3-

Tamers was the best season, IMO.
A whole world away from Fuyuki, in a city of mages, a new War threatens to break out. Seven new Masters are chosen and enter a life-changing battle, unknowingly becoming part of a War in which there are more players than the eyes can see...
