Yeah, I really don't agree with choosing to sacrifice the few to save the many. In such a situation, for some reason, I always tend to lean toward the few. After all, then the few have every right to complain that they aren't being saved and try to change the numbers. For example, given my own culture, China is very well-practiced that changing who the many and the few are (see the queue hairstyle). Of course, taking such logic to its extreme makes you Hitler (see the German economy), Genghis Khan (see the world's temperature), or at the very least Kiritsugu. Also, when Taichi tells Hikari to "stay that way", to me, it actually sounded pretty patronizing, like "you do you" or "never change".

The greatest Digimon of all time - Habumon has been tweeting about how they plan on announcing a new Digimon game in the summer and how it's a brand new standalone game unconnected to either the "Story" or the "World" series but tackling a brand new concept altogether.

Whether that means the "Story" game being made that we heard about a few months ago is still ongoing, cancelled or just morphed into this new project is currently unknown at the moment. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bandai Namco will have a stream called "Digimon Thanksgiving 2018 Stream- Special Meeting and New Game News." It will be on July 29th, the same day as Digimon Thanksgiving 2018 - Special Meeting in Odaiba, but will start an hour after the live event begins. The stream will begin at 7pm on niconico and Youtube and is scheduled to end at 10:45pm. (That's 3am to 6:45am Pacific on the 29th.) They mention the schedule isn't finalized yet.
The guests for the stream will be:

Digimon game writer Koji Watanabe, who will act as MC, and Producer Habu and Producer Tsuzuki Katsuaki will also be on hand for the stream. They also list 'etc.' for guests, so more stream guests should be announced soon.

The streamed event will have three parts:

1. Digimon Thanksgiving 2018 - Special Meeting in Odaiba, with some parts not streamed (whether this will be pre-recorded or whether the first hour of the event itself won't be streamed isn't clarified.)
   
2. Game Introduction- This will consist of a number of elements, with a big one being a formal introduction of the new Digimon game project by it's producers, along with a Staff Q&A, with questions being collected from theDigimon Game Community site ahead of time. They will also go over the latest Digimon apps (mobile games) and products.
   
3. Anime Part- Guests from the live event will show up for a talk. Details for this part are not clarified further.

Really digging that artstyle and general desolate aesthetic.

Y'know, looking at that article, the whole "your choices will decide your fate!" and the fact that not once do they use the word "Digimon" to describe the creatures but instead use "Monster" constantly...it's all giving me a Devil Survivor vibe from it. Which is totally fine with me, I much prefer the more mature tone that the Digimon games have been taking.

The Digimon Survive website is finally live and thanks to it we have a cool title card and a couple of screenshots giving a clearer look at the SRPG battle and character dialogue.
