Another update to the TCG if anyone cares. This time the Cardlist for Collection Set EX-02 "Digital Hazard" has dropped. This is the second in a line of standalone booster sets with a theme inside that are targeted at collectors moreso than competitive players. The theme this time was "Digimon Tamers" and so we had many non-standard cards like Culumon and the many forms of the D-Reaper, both of whom are colourless and lack traditional Levels but are still playable if very strange.

I absolutely have to give a shoutout to these GORGEOUS Parallel Arts of the Tamers and their Partner Digimon.

The fact that the questionnaire thingy itself namedrops it, methinks this all but confirms we'll be seeing "Digimon Survive" at DigiCon.

Bandai posted a thank you image and message to the Digimon Web Twitter.

"Thank you for your support in 2021 The anime went from Digimon Adventure: to Digimon Ghost Game. There was also the 20th Anniversary of Digimon Tamers.Let's get even more excited for 2022 From Gammamon, Greymon, and Growlmon, with YukimiBotamon, have a Happy New Year!"

To celebrate Valentine's Day, Digimon Web put up social art of Fairimon, Shutumon, & Ranamon making some familiar looking chocolates. Fun art for Valentine's this year. Having it be Frontier themed a bit before the 20th Anniversary formally starts is a nice touch.

The attached message: "Happy Valentine.For Valentine's Day, Ranamon, Shutumon, & Fairimon tried their hand at making homemade chocolate. They did great work. Well Done."

I forgot to mention that a couple of weeks ago, the Chinese video game "Digimon: New Century" announced they would be introducing their own original Digimon and unveiled a silhouette for people to guess at the name and nature. Well now they revealed the mysetry 'mon.

His name in China is "Xiquè Beast" which roughly translates to Magpiemon but as we've seen with previously China-original Digimon, it will likely be changed for Japanese release.

We also have a (roughly) translated version of his profile from the game:

"An exotic bird-type Digimon that can travel freely in water and air. It's data contains fish data, so it can be in a flying position and dive into the water to hunt from a swimming position. It wears goggles to protect it's eyes while swimming. It's a migratory bird that normally is around cold lakes and rivers, and once water temperature rises, it travels around the digital world to find a new habitat. It's said that seeing Magpiemon flying while searching for a new nest is auspicious, so it's considered to be a Digimon of good luck, and loved by other Digimon. The amount of food it eats at any time is small, so it has a habit of using an ability to keep leftover food frozen."

Afterwards they revealed a new silhouette so the cycle starts once again it seems...

I've no idea what you're talking about, so I doubt it.

FWIW, New Century has only been in operation for like the last six months or so and it's 100% official.

I found it, I was thinking of Ultimate Cho Hakkaimon from a Chinese fan game.
Completely unrelated. Cho Hakkaimon is real though which is still weird.

Digimon Survive was delayed yet again but they did reveal a 7:3 text:gameplay ratio. So if it ever actually comes out, we're looking at a Digimon VN. That sounds cool.

An SRPG, multiple routes, limited time to do actions on the map, Monster Negotiation to recruit them...

It's literally SMT: Devil Survivor but with Digimon.

I get it, they've had problems with development, but how long do you need to finish a VN? It doesn't even look like there were any major changes in direction, everything was in line with what they initially announced.

It's cool to have a better idea about what the game will be like, but it's extremely disappointing that they still didn't give a release date. Not to mention how they had nothing to show on the new Story game.

After they announced the dev change, the official site now shows a company named Hyde are making the game now.

I felt pretty bad for them when they were asking the questions about games and some of the responses were basically, "We don't have enough money for that."
