i mean the method, not the origin itself
araya aint the only unique guy who can awaken someone's origin, the ryougis too can iirc
so maybe its not a special snowflake enough to warrant a seal

Books are extremely many, loaded on an oxcart the ox will sweat.
At home piled to the ridgepole of the house, from this meaning.

The Ryougi are backwater Japanese not mage association and just wanted to create a body through selective breeding with perfect split personality to reach the root right?
Then they gave up when they succeeded lol.

that is one interpretation. the wording of the section in Epilogue where "Ryougi Shiki" explains this is, as food alludes to, lacking in detail. there is no direct reference to the awakening of an Origin in the novel text at that point. and even if that is what happened, in some way, it does not imply that the ability to awaken origins is not a rare or unusual one.

so this part of epilogue doesnt mean they awakened her to her origin of 「 」? i read some kanjis that said oriign and awakening there but my japanesefu is still weak so maybe i interpret it wronglyけれど彼らはわたしを起こした。出来合いの人格をわたしに植え付けたのではなく、「 」という わたしの起 源を起こしてしまった。

i mean maybe it is rare and unusual enough, but just not enough to get some sealing designation. IIRC Zero material / some other material said that sealing designation is some real rare, barely happened in a decade stuffs so my assumption is that its special, but not special enough.
But thats *my* assumption.

it comes down to a question of consistent terminology. wherever Origin awakening is mentioned elsewhere, in part 7 and part 5, the term used for 'awakening' is consistently 覚醒. that term is not used in Epilogue. "Shiki" does say 起源を起こしてしまった, which resembles it in meaning but is not precisely the same. considering nasu's penchant for making extremely fine distinctions, I consider it better to err on the side of caution
e: turns out there are exactly two situations in which this consistent usage of 覚醒 is broken; both are in part 7, the first by Touko, the second by Lio, both in spoken dialogue. what this could mean? uncertain. aside from these the usage of 覚醒 to refer to what Araya did is still very consistent. 起こし could be an informal euphemism for Araya's process or it could refer to a more general phenomenon of which lio's case is a particular instance.

Hey, it's not bad in broad strokes considering it's been so damn long I've read and watched stuff.
Wasn't there something about the practice being the Ryougi path for power, ultimately, creating a perfect body to manifest 「 」? Isn't that kinda about the root?
