The place Fionn is talking about sounds like the Emerald Dream from WoW: the sleeping sentience inside the planet dreams, and that dream is a plane of its own full of fairies and stuff.
Hmm...that does sound very interesting. Makes me wonder if we'll get a more detailed look into Avalon and the colourful characters that live there in the upcoming LB6.

Well kind of the appeal of avalon is how distant it is. That said I don't think we'll actually have the plot take place in Avalon itself just because the lostbelt will be about camelot.
Reality can't live up to paradise.
Even if we don't get to see the land itself, at least gimme the King of Avalon as a character in LB6, plz TM. T_T

To be fair, between being sent to the Shadow Realm and being sent to Scotland, I know which one I'd choose.

Presumably, the Land of Shadows (or at least the Gate part anyways) only covers the Isle of Skye itself, not all of Scotland. Hence why Scáthach has her Castle Dunscaith there, which is still standing up even today funnily enough.
